Randy
If the Berries continue selling out the HOB in Cleevland , that certainly is a great sign. Can they sustain this momentum, if they branch out across the nation to other HOB venues? This is a question that I suppose "nobody knows." And are the four guys willing to drop everything, to go out on the road? It may be worth playing in front of 1,000 each Friday night, but how about 200 or so? I think EC and the gang would pull the plug.
AnniekNY
I think I would be a case of economics - can you sustain a band/road crew with a crowd of 200 people? If you're "not in it for the money" it's fine. But that's probably not possible for some.
Billy K.
As I had mentioned before, they would have to be selective in doing a tour. I don't really believe that they have a high enough interest on a broad scale---at least not yet.I can see the band doing Detroit, Pittsburgh, New York/New Jersey, Orlando, London, Tokyo, and possibly L.A. or Vegas......but little else....at least for now, realistically. As much as I would like to see them do Seattle, I am not optimistic about that. BadfingerBarb
I can see them doing a two week jaunt across the states with about ten shows. NYC is good for a couple of shows. I don't know why you specifically mentioned Detroit and Pittsburgh. I would think Seattle would be just as likely if not more likely. Chicago and LA would be a definite, I would think. I'm hoping for a show in Seattle as I would like to take my kids to see them.
Argee
They would never get the media coverage they do in Cleveland though. I just wonder how much of this demand in Cleveland is coming from out of state? I know there are Clevelanders that want to see them and have not been able to.They may try a third show if this sells as fast in Cleveland to see what the market can bear here. smittie
A 3rd show at HOB Cleveland sounds like a great idea to me. Maybe in early Spring when the traveling conditions won't be as much of a concern.
Argee
I wonder how many people the Palace theater in Cleveland can seat? I also wonder if they would be happy with the acoustics there?I don't think Music Hall in Cleveland is used any more but I may be mistaken. I just cannont remember anyone playing that venue in the past few years.Plus I would hope that HOB knows they have a good thing going and give the guys a sweetheart deal to continue there.Time will tell
Tiggsherby
I think if they can double up with another major 70's group they could have a successful tour at major venues. On their own, they would be limited to House of Blues type of clubs...which isn't a bad thing. Either way if they come within 500 miles of Philadelphia...I'll be there! BadfingerBarb
If they do a third Cleveland show, they need to wait until baseball season so Harry and I can catch an Indians game!
marvin
Billy don't rule out Seattle just yet. Jim indicated that Seattle was definitely a location that they were looking at. I tried to point him in the direction of Vancouver to which Barb (Jim's wife) replied, "I'd love to go to Vancouver. I've never been there." hosskratz
An HOB tour could be a plausable event. The HOB's in most cities would probably fill easy, especially with most major markets now having "classic rock" stations in them. The fact that so many fans from around the country went to the first concert is a very good indicator of how things could go.
