Robin,

Don't fret..I'm sure there will be more info coming happy ...sadly, this isn't the first time HOB hasn't posted anything this far in advance. I'm sure everything's going to work out just fine...thanks to all the great karma around here (and Darlene's lemonade)!! Looking forward to meeting you and your sisters in Atlantic City !

happy Marlene

I called HOB AC today and was told by a ticket salesperson that there will be only 2 ticket prices floor @ $30 and balcony @ $55. Don't know if you can rely on this or not. Was trying to find out where the "reserved seating" was located, guess there isn't any other than the balcony seats.

Regarding the "comp" tickets that some think they are giving to frequent patrons, don't you think they would give out floor tickets for free and try to sell the balcony seats to make as much $$$ as possible off the show?! Hope so, the people I'm bringing really don't want to stand. I'm still coming to the show standing or sitting, with or without them!!

I'll look for you, Robin !!

Julie, I'm SO GLAD you're coming. laugh It'll be great to see you again !! I think someone posted this earlier, and I'm sorry I don't remember who....but it seems this HOB's capacity is quite a bit larger than either Chicago or Cleveland. I'm hoping, and will keep nothing but positive thoughts that anyone trying to get a seat will be able to get one ! Is ANYONE else getting really excited about this ??? happyhappy M.

Smittie in response to:" regarding the comp tickets" Having worked at The Paris hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, in the box office, I can definitley tell you that when the "comp" tickets are given to the high rollers, they are always the best seats in the house. The casinos would much rather spend a few more dollars to purchase the best tickets to keep these people who are dropping thousands of dollars at the tables happy. Happy gamblers spend way more then unhappy ones.

yep, Baby Sister...it is the law of Vegas and AC..keep the high rollers rollin' the cash out of their pockets....

as for Ticketmaster...I remember several times where I went looking for an event days before and it never popped up until 10:00 a.m. when i went to buy it.

Can you imagine all the people that don't know about this concert and stumble on the Ticketmaster listing really late???

One of the nicest things about our boarder family here is that we notify each other lickety-split quick about important info...

My girlfriend (she goes to the Showboat A LOT and got a comped room for the night of the concert - she's coming down with me to gamble) thinks she will be offered Raspberries tickets... but it wouldn't be until later August.. I'm still buying tix on Saturday!

I once attended a concert in Atlantic City that guaranteed you a seat, but the location of the seat depended on how early you came to the concert. Thus, the earlier you arrived, the better seating location you had acquired. I'm curious, if you purchase reserved seating at the House of Blues, will you be given a seat number at the time of purchase or will your seat location depend on how early you arrive at the concert hall?

Thanks in advance for any response!

Hello..I just got home from my "fact-finding" mission to House of Blues in Atlantic City. The dope at the boxoffice was not much help and appeared not to care about my questions concerning the Raspberries concert. He looked like a drugged-out Howard Stern wanna-be. Here it is Friday afternoon, and nothing is listed on Ticketmaster website. What time are tickets supposed to go on sale? I want to be ready to purchase 6 tickets (myself, spouse, 2 sisters and their spouses)

Good Luck to all of us who will be trying to attend this show.

I checked the HOB website and practiced purchasing tickets for the Member Onsale on Tuesday. I clicked on 5 different artists, and it listed Section 200, but only rows J-K..which is toward the back. WHAT? That doesn't make any sense. If it's a pre-sale for members..why can't we get better seats? I'm a bit frustrated because I do not want to purchase tickets on Tuesday and have to sit way in the back...BUT..nor do I want to skip the Tuesday presale, and then having them sold out on Saturday. We really need some guidance here. I may have to call HOB personally and find out what the story is. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm really stressing out.

As Darlene said, last time Ticketmaster often had the better seats than the HOB presale.

Ticketmaster will be allocated tickets for sale, so I wouldn't worry about the concert being sold out before the 13th.

Most likely some presale ticket holders will fare better than Ticketmaster counterparts, and some won't.

Everyone seems to have a different story.

Did you see this?

"Special Announcement: In the event that all HOB Member Tickets are sold, we will forward you to Ticketmaster where you can purchase tickets using the password "GOSPEL" in the Internet Presale box."

Looking at the HOB AC listings there are a number of of artists with "internet presales" on Tuesday. I'm thinking of trying my luck going directly to Ticketmaster on Tuesday. At least I'll know exactly what seats I get.

I'm thinking it might. I'm waiting to see the Ticketmaster listing and if they show the pre-sale I'll try there. But, I'll have 2 browsers open Tuesday at 10 in case I can't get through to TicketMaster with the password, I'll have HOB to fall back on.

I think it's not a bad idea to "practice" as Robin did, on Aug 13 at HOB site presale, Ticketmaster GOSPEL password presale (if the password operates before HOB member seats are sold out) and Ticketmaster.com, to see exactly what the best seats are available by each method.

Otherwise, it's like throwing marbles up in the air and wondering where they'll land.
