Tim From Wisconsin
The "October 6th" thread was getting really long, so I thought I would start a "Fresh" one.Eric: As time ticks away toward the possible event on October 6th; Airline tickets go up, Hotel space fills up, and other events come up. We have the Aerosmith / Motley Crue tour coming to Wisconsin on October 7th, and normally I would buy tickets for this right away - Tickets go on sale tomorrow. But, with the possibility of me traveling to Ohio for a once in a lifetime concert I am hestitant to buy the Aerosmith tickets. I don't need specifics, but if you can confirm that October 6th will indeed happen, it would certainly help. Thanks in advance for your response!Tim
Eric Carmen
I can tell you that we're a lot closer to making it happen than we were one month ago. It's still not %100, however. I promise I will confirm it the minute I can. I apologize for the inconvenience. ec
Early Wynn
For those of us who buy airline tickets, book hotel rooms, etc.... If the show doesn't happen, I think it would only be fair for Eric to treat us to nice intimate solo performance in his living room. I'll bring the chips and salsa (and a 12-pack). danmichel
I'm getting this mental picture of 800 people in Eric's living room...And all eyes on Early Wynn and his 12 pack.
Tony Cartmill
Don't forget my famous Vat-o-Guacamole...To afford airfare to Cleveland, I plan to be shipped inside the vat as cargo. No mid-flight airline meal needed. Just a bag of chips."It ain't easy being green..."
James
Was just listening to "Tonight You're Mine". "Foolin Myself" will be stunning with full orchestra......would be double stunning with The Darlene-lama on violin
darlene
Thanks, James, but please see one of the several places where I explained why that's complicated. But I'll be enjoying the show somewhere--maybe in a seat next to you. --Darlene
Tony Cartmill
It won't help Darlene. Your cult has made James incapable of listening to reason.
LC
Darlene, What if you just went ahead and scheduled a solo performance on Oct. 7? We'll all stick around Cleveland an extra night to hear you! Let's see, 500 EC.com members pay $30 a ticket (is that enough?) to see you play a 2-hour set in which you interpret the Raspberries/EC catalog.... I'd fork over the dough for that kind of a show.... darlene
LC, My solo debut is going to have to wait until my retirement from public school teaching, which will probably be in 3 or 4 years. Although I had a marvelous year with my students, as always, life with the boss has been a bit rocky. Beginning my solo career early crossed my mind... *His* early retirement would be nice. --Darlene
dianed
Eric, I realized you already answered this, but today marks the countdown to 100 days left to the most memorable, anticipated and unforgettable “possible event†to take place on October 6. Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock……The countdown has officially begun.......

seattlesteve
Sure we're anxious, but remember he didn't have to tell us early either.
darlene
When everything's firm, I'm sure we'll be the first to know. But, since terrific dresses for events like this don't just stay in the store, I bought one. By the time I purchase accessories, I'm sure everything will be in place. --Darlene
Tony Cartmill
Um, Darlene...Your boss just called. He's scheduled you (with my suggestion) to clean the entire music room that day.So you better keep the return tags on that dress...

aggiesjc
I have credit with United Airlines from a paid trip that never materialized for me, so I'm just waiting for confirmation of the 10/6 show to convert it to a trip to Cleveland!
Foolin' Myself
Shoot! I'm not worried about getting a room. I'm bringing my sleeping bag and gonna crash in EC's backyard. Knowing my luck, EC will tell me that I'm living in a "CARTOON WORLD".P.S. James is right. Foolin' Myself would be a classic with a full orchestra. Could you imagine if EC even made the instromental in the middle about 5 minutes longer than the original. What is this...a single tear running down my cheek.
