Paulguitar
I remember reading a post about a barbecue place near BBK's but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone recall that or are there any other places nearby to eat on Sat. afternoon? Thanks,Paul
Mike Grollman
The menu at BBK's is varied, tasty, and reasonable...plus you can eat right in the showroom at your table...which means you'll get a good seat for the show!
LobsterLvr
There are 2 BBQ places to eat near BBK's. The closest...and the best...is VIRGILS...on 44th Street, between 6th and 7th Ave. Order the Hush Puppies....they're great. But just order one serving...huge portion!!! The other BBQ place is on 3rd Ave (convenient for anyone staying at the Hyatt). It's on the the corner of 3rd and 37th. It's called "earl's". It's got a lot of comfort food...including BBQ. Virgil's is a bit of a tourist trap (everything around 42nd street is) but the food is great, the beer is cold, and there's lots of seats. Good eatin'!DAve
LobsterLvr
Oh....I just remembered another BBQ place called 'Spanky's' on 43rd between 6th and 7th. I've never eaten there, but I had a couple of beers there two days ago. It's seemed....ok.DAve

Brian Mac
My NY food Guru recommended Becco on 46th and 8th, so that's were I'll be before the show, gorging Italian style. Me and Sweet Sue.
LobsterLvr
Word of advise: No matter how hungry you get...don't eat the hotdogs from the sidewalk vendors. If you do you'll be making your own 'raspberries' all night long!!!Dave
Jeff
Word of advise: No matter how hungry you get...don't eat the hotdogs from the sidewalk vendors. If you do you'll be making your own 'raspberries' all night long!!!Dave I find that to be totally untrue -- my whole life, NY street Hot Dogs are the best !!!(Maybe I have built an immunity to them ) Sabrett Dogs are fine ....
