JCraft
A couple of things come to mind looking at the photos and reading the posts:1-If they were going to add musicians anyway--why not include Scott?2-Did Eric name the fan from Iraq? (that's where my son is)PS--I finally broke 100 post (guess I'm the silent type) after all these years--gee Darlene, only a thousand behind ya'JIM
aggiesjc
Actually, Darlene is more than 2,000 up on you, but congratulations on your 100!

Raspbernie
1-This is a reunion of the original Raspberries. The sidemen are there to play the added parts which were overdubbed onto the records for a fuller and more authentic sound. NOTE: Eric does dedicate "Play On" to Scott when they perform it.2-Eric did mention Captain Tim Hilton by name :-)Bernie
steve-o
Nice try Bernie: I'll give you an A+ for both effort and political correctness but what would be the harm in having Scott play along side his bandmates? He is as much a Raspberry as the rest of them. I'm not taking anything away from the current back-ups but when you can have an orginal band member, why wouldn't you. Hopefully they will include Scott in any west coast gigs.Steve-O
Tiggsherby
I agree with you Steve-o, if Scott wanted the gig, they should have given him the opportunity. It's not like they would have had to ask Michael McBride also, since he is now out of the business. It was probably a "business decision" and based on the final product, they certainly knew what they were doing. Paul Sidoti and Billy Sullivan are FABULOUS in the line-up. Another body up there would have been too much of a crowd. Can't second guess them now based on what I witnessed!!!
Poor4Life
This argument reminds me of what happened when The Eagles reunited in '94. People were complaining where's Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner? Thier explanation was it was a resumption, not a reunion. They wanted to pick up where they left off. With Raspberries the choice was to "start over" When it comes right down to it, it's the bands choice, and I'm just happy they're doing this at all!Jeff
Zuke
Now, if they can just RECORD some NEW MUSIC!!!Did anyone read the article about Don Kirshner getting back into the business? He's one lucky guy. Maybe he'll turn the music industry around to good music.
Gene
Why does the music industry need fixing? We have rap and Ashley Simpson and Britney growling like cats and tons of lip sync and companies putting out stuff that has to make millions. Where is the need for rhythm and harmony when we have people with hot bods who can't sing?
Zuke
While I'm here, here's a review from THE PITTSBURGH POST GAZETTE. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/05005/437177.stm

Tiggsherby
Great link, Zuke. More press like that can only help our cause...someone better make sure the Chicago papers pump this baby up.We don't want it end after Chicago...
Guest
Hopefully, there will be several more concert dates. I think some of the summer venues, such as festivals (Milwaukee Summer Fest is an amazing 10-day production that runs from end of june into july--it would be a great place for the band to play--there are several different stages there and always are big crowds) would be a better venue for Raspberries to perform live. As you all will notice, there isn't nearly as much touring by bands during the winter because of potential travel problems. Anway, for those who will be in Chicago--have a wonderful time (I know you will).
