Article in Sunday's Cleveland Plain Dealer

Recommended Posts

While waiting to fly home from Cleveland on Sunday, I started reading the Plain Dealer, and found an interesting article (Page L3, PDQ Section) on a local couple, Jan & John Markulin, whose hobby is collecting musicians' autographs in their copy of a book titled "Rock & Roll and The Cleveland Connection". The 624 page book, by Deanna Adams, came out 5 years ago; since that time, the Markulins have traveled all over the area, getting various rock & rollers to sign the book. Their hardest one to get was Alice Cooper - involved a 7 hour wait at his Cleveland restaurant near Jacobs Field. When asked about their favorite local artists, John said the Damnation of Adam Blessing, James Gang, and Raspberries, and Jan said Raspberries. When asked who their most wanted autograph is, the one that's eluded them, John's reply was "that would be Eric Carmen...."
