marvin
For Marlene and others who have contributed to this effort, I'll send you each a Word attachment of the document. My understanding is that Bernie is going to house the stories somewhere on this website so that others can see it and maybe also add to it. I will be printing 6 copies, get them bound to look somewhat presentable, and that's what I'll give to Eric, Dave, Wally, Jim, Scott and if I can find him, Mike.Marvinp.s. Oh and Andy, thanks for the kind words but I still get first dibs on the better bed in the Holiday Inn room!
marvin
By popular demand: I'm giving you until the end of the weekend (that's Sunday, November 7th) to send me their stories. So midnight MST is it.Thanks again.Marvin
Tony Cartmill
Just watched an old DVD of the group live. These guys were special. Especially the second version 1974. Maybe I should write something for Marvin, but I was always into Eric way more than the Raspberries...

smittie
Marvin, I am working on a poem and will have it finished before the deadline. Please don't publish without me, I know I am down to the wire, but the inspiration just hit and the words started flowing at the last minute! Thanks for being patient with us procrastinators! smittie
Hi Marvin, I tried to read your story on the'Berries site, but when I click on your name in the fans memories site, it takes me back to the home page. Am I doing something wrong? Can't wait to read it! Julie R.
marvin
Hi Julie. I see that Kay has changed the format slightly. If you click on my name, it does go back to the home page but my story is still there. Let me know if you have trouble accessing it, otherwise, you'll just have to wait until Bernie show everyone's stories here on this site. And any latecomers, don't worry, I'll take in all the stories I get.Marvin
darlene
This is just amazing! I TOLD you all that 2004 would be an unbelievable year! And it isn't even over yet!!!! I'll make a prediction: 2005 is going to be even better! I didn't even need to ladle out any lemonade for it to happen. I've known this was going to take place since I started wishing for it in 1975...Now, I've got to go read Kay's post on the Razz website. --Darlene

bahoodore
Hey Marv! Great writing!.... Since I have known you for over 30 yrs, I can attest that all your story is bang on!....All you folks out there have no idea what a music fanatic Marvin is. His LP/45/CD collection is amazing. I was part of many bands that Marvin directed, and what he doesn't tell in his story is that Marv is also an amazing organizer. One of his bands had over 20 musicians....members changing instrumets from song to song...a bevy of great ladys singing lead, backup, from Motown to pop, Rock, latin, horns, percussion etc. Most of his musicians played more than one instrument(his sister being one of them), and almost ALL of them sang.My wife was also one of his lead singers for many years. His bands were (and still are) legendary around these parts.Marvin never excelled at one particular instrument (never enough time in one day huh Marv?)but he mastered the technique of getting musicians together and put on pure musical entertainment.Since he played >Side 3> for me over 30 years ago, he has always dreamt of the day the Berries would do a show....Finally!!! Thank you for sharing your stories..and a special thanks to you, Marvin for putting this all together ! I'm certain the 'Berries are going to LOVE THIS ! mannoman
Marv, I'm only up to page 35 and am blown away. Thank you for this effort. Amazing, absolutley amazing.I don't think the 'boys' from Cleveland know the depth to which they have touched us. Please make sure they read the collection before they play - not after. It will, most definitely, energize and further motivate them. How could it not.I wish I was a better writer. Larry, Annie, Tommy, Bob, Jennifer you all said it for me, with much more eloquence. Thank you. I can't wait to finally meet you all.Ted

darlene
Marv, Still straightening out my e-mail, but got it! I saved it to disk. I LOVE everyone's Raspberries Reflections, and most of all, the lyrics you placed with each one. Marvin, you are truly insightful and talented--what a wonderful job you've done! The guys will truly realize how much their music has meant through the years at different times in our lives to all of us. Thank you so much! --Love, Darlene
marvin
Darlene it was fun putting it all together, and reading everyone's wonderful memories/stories. I know that Wally and Kay have already read the stories, I've put Scott's in the mail, and it'll be a pleasure to hand-deliver the stories to the Eric, Dave, Wally and Jim.Marvin
darlene
You've covered all the bases! I hope there's a way to somehow get a copy to Michael McBride, who I've heard, can't play anymore, but who I'm sure would really love a copy. He was such an important part of Raspberries and of the various groups with semi-interchangeable personnel which led up to Raspberries. --Darlene
