Raspbernie
I wonder what parrallels (if any) Amazon sales numbers have to Soundscan?Bernie
danmichel
I don't know how many would be interested in getting the album this way...But i have found Live On Sunset Strip on iTunes...Which is cool for me since Walmart doesn't have it...and i need some tracks to play on the air until i can get the actual CD at a store. Al K
We're still at #120...how cool would it be to crack the overall top 100?? If anybody is planning to buy the Deluxe set thru Amazon, today would be a GREAT day to do so. You know the saying "Every vote counts" in elections? Well, every purchase counts BIG TIME on Amazon, and while I can't divulge Amazon's actual sales figures, I can say without a doubt that we're less than 100 units, and more likely even less than 50 units away from breaking into the top 100! Al K
Bernie - think about it in this perspective: if we need to sell, say, 2,000 units the 1st week to crack the Billboard Top 200 charts, and we could sell just 300 at each of some of the major national music outlets - Borders, FYE, Virgin, Amazon.com, Best Buy.com, iTunes, Barnes and Noble.com...hmmmmmmmmm. mellie
ROCK deluxe version is #91. POP deluxe version is #90. POP/ROCK deluxe version is #88!!!
danmichel
I think it's gonna be more than 2,000 the first week...a lot more.
Raspbernie
#106 at 10:40 on Amazon!!! Amazon is also now reporting only 4 deluxe editions and 2 single-CD versions left in stock! Hurry!Bernie
Raspyrock
I bought the last one at FYE at North Point Mall in Alpharetta, Ga. I tried B/N 1st and they didn't have it but was eager to order it for me to which I replied "I will check around 1st & get back to you". I also informed the older gentleman that I hear a lot of folks dropped the ball on this when the ordered only 3 and sold out or didn't order at all. After that, while I was riding over to fye & I realized he pulled it up on his work station computer and clicked on the details of the "LIVE" release --- I have a data background -- so I'm thinking, how many times has this gone on today & there is a good chance that someone at corp. HQ of B/N -- or any other store, are likely keeping track of these "click thru's" onto the CD's details. It could change their minds about whether to stock or not!!! Sometimes we make a difference and don't even know it!I never knew how many were stocked at FYE because the young guy was trying to up-sell so much, but I got the last one ----- & noticed that they also had "Raspberries Greatest" on the shelf now. Raspbernie
Now only 3 deluxe editions left at Amazon. Hey! How are we gonna push this thing further up the ladder if they sell out?!?Still holding at #106.Bernie
danmichel
I just wrote a review for it on iTunes...I think i was the first to review it.
blackhawkpat
After striking out at two local FYE's, we found it at one in Oak Lawn, IL. The manager told me that they only received one copy (the deluxe, selling for $23.99) overall. I spoke at length with the her and told her how Best Buy was not carrying it (which seemed to peak her interest) and that a number of friends of mine were searching for it. She said she would put in an immediate order for at least five more and they would have it by Friday. She told me if anyone wanted to buy it from her store (6310 W 95th Street) to call them at 708/599-1878 ASAP and she could order more. Hope this helps any locals in search of it.P.S. The five song DVD is worth the price alone!
Raspbernie
Good job, danmichel! And kudos to Don Krider for his "FIVE STAR" Amazon.com review!Bernie
Brian Mac
Only two of the regular versions left at Amazon and ONE of the Deluxe. Going like hotcakes there. It's going to be a sellout tonight.
Ecstasy
So basically what we're hearing is that every store location plus Amazon's entire stock is being sold out ON THE FIRST DAY!!! Amazing, incredible... I'm so glad we're all here to see this and celebrate with the guys!!!
Brian Mac
All I can say is that when I bought my Deluxe Copy this afternoon, they had plenty of the deluxe and five left of the regular. It appears people are opting for the full show. I'd like to send a printout from Amazon to Best Buy and Circuit City. Imagine what their support could have done to raise awareness and boost impulse sales. The record company is supposed to do more then just manufacture the thing. For all the help they're getting, the boys could have released it themselves and kept ALL the royalties.Sorry, but I'm still livid that I couldn't buy the damn thing in any store in NJ today. Un-freakin-believable.
Raspberries4ever
Brian Mac, I'm still livid that I couldn't buy the d*** thing an hour outside of Chicago today! Un-freakin-believable! What's going on here! I had to buy the 13-song CD on iTunes....

Craig Benfer
iTunes does have all 21 songs available. I had to go this route because there were none available at any local stores which include Borders, FYE, BestBuy, or Circuit City.
svin
Wow.After reading this thread, I feel lucky to have found my copy of the Deluxe Version at the Sam Goody's in the mall across the street from my office building. Not to rub it in, but it took all of ten minutes for me to walk over there and get my copy.My sympathies to those who could not find a copy today. Evidently, and being obvious, those who make the decisions about who and where to stock the release misjudged the market for it.Hopefully, this will be rectified soon. Brian Mac
Craig, If iTunes has the 21 song version, then it just happened as I have been checking all day. Maybe it probably happened in response to all the bitching on this board. Thanks for the heads up.Congratulations on the sell out at Amazon. You can't do better than selling EVERY AVAILABLE COPY!!! Brian Mac
Svin, We used to have two Sam Goodies within walking distance of my house. Now there are none. I thought the whole chain went out. Cherish them while you can, they will be as extinct as the dinosaurs pretty soon.

Brian Mac
You gotta laugh. Amazon is now saying "usually ships within one to two weeks" which is a gigantic sales killer. I mean who wants to wait, so people will go elsewhere. Except THERE IS NO ELSEWHERE. I am going to have a nervous breakdown over this.Thank God iTunes CAN'T RUN OUT!Oh the pain... Argee
The full version is on I-TUNES. You have to open the entire Raspberrie cataloug and its listed there as a partial album. No way to buy it all at once. What you can do is buy the 13 song version for 9.99 and then buy each of the extra songs one at a time for .99. Just set it up in your burn que to recreate the song order on the disc(s).
