Go all the way.. extended version?

I don't know if anyone else had heard this or if it was only a local station in Minneapolis that had this. When "Go all the way" was being played in the Twin Cities area on AM 1500 KSTP back in the 70's, they played an extended version. This version would edit part of the intro back into the song just before the bridge. Does anyone know if this was done on a national level or did someone do it a this station only? I only heard it on this station here in town.

This cracks me up - when I was in high school I went the 8-track route (vs cassette) and made my own extended version of GATW with the intro stuck in the middle just like Bill C describes. Didn't sound all that great but I got to hear the intro twice. Should I say with pride (or embarrasment?) that I still have my working Pioneer 8-track recorder? Only problem is no more blank 8-tracks to record on.......... Maybe I should donate it to a museum.

Oh, I remember this 'extended' mix of GATW very well. It was pretty cool. I think it was played on KDWB, however, then a pop/rock station. I was in high school when GATW hit, so I remember pretty clearly. I've always wondered about this version and since it was so clean and sounded so right, I thought it was some sort of record company release. Since I never heard it any place else and never have seen it, perhaps it was 'mixed' by someone at the radio station who enjoyed Raspberries.

YES...I heard the exact same extended version of GATW. It was in October 1977 on KSTP 1500 "the Music Station" in Minneapolis. I was "blown away" and called the radio station after the song ended. I actually talked to the DJ on the air. He told me the song was remixed by a Seattle DJ who was a BIG FAN of RASPBERRIES. The station got a tape form the DJ. Unfortunately I did not have my tape deck "cued up" and never got the song on recorded. The sound was incredible and it would be fun to hear it again...today!

Perhaps KDWB played the song as well. I do remember KSTP "spinning" that version.
