ERIC CARMEN RADIO

Recommended Posts

What a trip. You guys have got to try this! Go to www.pandora.com and enter Eric Carmen as your favorite artist. The site will then create a personal radio station for you that "captures the unique and magical musical identity of the artist. Everything from melody, harmony and rhythm, to instrumentation, orchestration, arrangement, lyrics, and of course the rich world of singing and vocal harmony."

Then IT PLAYS SONGS THAT AN ERIC CARMEN FAN WOULD ENJOY based on a computer model that they have been working on for 6 years. Right now it's playing a really cool song by a group I never heard of called Fairfield Parlour that sounds eerily like "Don't Want To Say Goodbye." It's really cool and free.

Imagine...Eric Carmen Radio exists in 2006!

Kia ora Guys. I just tried EC Radio what a hoot!!! It played Boats Against The Current. It had backing vocal harmonies instead of the orchestral backing.Being the purist I prefer the original version on the album. My husband on the other hand said he likes both but prefered the vocal, I suspect that he is winding me up!!!

Yes Brian I tried Raspberries Radio. Even got the Trogs. It played a band called The 13th Floor Elevators. Ira,ever heard of them? They were'nt bad, not as good as "Our Lads" though.

This is sweet! I really LOVE "Forgiven" by Michael Lord. Might have to get that for my iPod! It even played Andrew Gold--Marvin, you might want to give this a spin!

Currently playing Air Supply--but I love them, so no prob.

Great find, Brian!

Julie, I banished Air Supply from my EC radio along with Toto, but loved "Forgiven? as well. It's on my favorites. It's just a wonderful way to get caught up on some great music you've missed, because listening to conventional radio these days is an exercise in sonic torture.

Yes, I'm hooked too. I love the way you can fine tune it by telling it which songs you like best. This seems like the future of radio to me. I have a toslink cable running from my computer to my main stereo system and the sound quality Pandora puts out is amazing. I've heard more new music I want to buy this week, then I have in two years of searching Amazon or listening to conventional radio.
