popdude
God, what a fabulous song! Was just listening to it again yesterday, and was struck, as always, by the Phil Spector-ish production, Eric's perfect, yearning lead vocal, the fiery instrumental attack and the sheer power of the whole thing.Great, great song.... Billy
After 25 years it still boggles my mind how this tune did not at least crack the top 40 in 1980 --it still sounds great today in 2005!
Gregkevinw
i can still remember putting that album on the turntable for the first time...it was different for an ec solo tune.... but when he started with those lyrics and that venom in his voice, i was "hooked" forever.... "spectorish" exactly popdude.....

darlene
IHTM is a GREAT song. When I first got the album, I just kept playing it over and over. Still one of my favorites of all time. --Darlene
Tony Cartmill
It would be nice to hear in concert played by the Raspberries?...
Dougjack
Gotta agree. I think it's his best song after the 1st solo-lp. (Sorry, "Boats" fans!). I love the words, the melody, the production, and the way he put the little stutter/repeat on the link to the chorus the last time through. Very cool trick (similar to "On The Beach")!Shoulda been a hit!Jack
dianed
I have to agree also that IHTM is a great song and should be done by the Berries. While we are on this topic, I am sure everyone has heard "That's Rock and Roll", by Eric... It definitly sounds like something the Berries should have recorded. That sone just makes you want to get up and MOVE !!! Now imagine that one done by the Berries.....It says it all !!!!!
