Tiggsherby
Hi guys:I had a great time also! The feeling driving home was similar to the feeling I had after a few of the Raspberries shows last year. I feel like I'm with a bunch of friends I knew all my life! One of the biggest laughs (for me at least) is when Lew called over Jim and then introduced him as the Drummer of the Rasberries--Michael McBride!!!!There were many highlights but for those who weren't there....TOO BAD... you know the old saying "whatever happens at WAB stays at WAB....so I'm not talking..........but where was I when the skinny dipping was going on anyway....oh yeah, I was playing naked Twister......Hope to see you all again next year! ira
I used to joke that once you're not single-and you're not going to parties to meet girls....WHY GO TO A PARTY?WELL...I just went to the best party of my life!I went to meet friends and THAT-it turns out-IS THE BEST REASON TO GO TO A PARTY!YOU ARE ALL SUCH WARM AND WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND JIM AND BARBARA-GOD ARE YOU TERRIFIC "REGULAR GUYS"!MY BIGGEST SURPRISE....EVERYONE IS EVEN BETTER LOOKING AND MORE GRACIOUS THAN THEIR AVATARS -(ALTHOUGH I DO BEAR A STRIKING RESEMBLANCE TO "QUISP"!)THANKS ESPECIALLY TO BERNIE,KATHY AND THEIR WONDERFUL FAMILY.-Ira. seattlesteve
Wish my proxemity was more conducive to attendance. Sounds like a blast, wish I was there. When Eric pulls off the Severance Hall incredible event, hope to hook up with all.
darlene
Eric, Since you started this thread, thank you so much for your good wishes. I hope your children's first day of school went smoothly. Weekend at Bernie's IV was a *spectacular* party! Thank you Bernie and Kathy--you really know how to throw a bash!!! And thank you Jim, Barb, Al and Denise--you really know how to launch a big surprise!!! You're *AMAZING!* It was so great to spend time really getting to know you. You all made the day thrilling and much more than special in a very heartwarming way...All I can say is that WAB IV could have been made into a movie! The dance party by the pool to out-of-this-world music was just meant to be filmed--especially when Harry put on the Razz earrings and started dancing around. BeatleJay was there in spirit--Lisa did indeed do his "jump-up-on-the-table dance" for him! I can't think of a better way to celebrate Raspberries and how far the dream has come in just a short time. If you missed it, you'll want to come next year. Some of the board members who couldn't attend this year were "connected" via Kathy's cell phone. What a treat to hear Ted's voice and Sugar's and the beautiful accents of Muzza and Kiwi Marilyn. Thank you Muzza and Kiwi for the gorgrously wrapped birthday gift all the way from New Zealand! I kept your note card. And Sue's Razzbasket of lovely gifts was icing on the cake! The pretty raspberry jewelry I was wearing was made by Betty (whose screen name is IluvEric). It got many compliments, Betty--get ready for more orders! To all the cherished friends I've already met (and you know who you are), I loved being with you again. As Annie said, "we're like family." It was great to meet TUNESY and his family and John and his friend as well. And "Cool Chick Auntie" is indeed one cool lady! What a day! The only problem is that we couldn't possibly eat all that food! We'll need more board members, band members and their families to help us eat it all next year!Bernie and Kathy, every time I leave "the house on Creamer Drive," I leave smiling. This time I left "singing"! For your incredible "labour of love," and for all the *LOVE,* THANK YOU!!!PS Next year, Annie and I are thinking of kidnapping a certain icehockey player from a rink in Hackensack and initiating him as a new member... --Darlene
darlene
Eric, Please excuse the typo on my above post. I meant to say I hope your children's first day of school *goes* smoothly. And Kiwi and Muzza's present was "gorgeously" wrapped. I'm a bad typist and a terrible proofreader! --Darlene
Paulie Mississippi
You guys sure know how to party! I could hear you all the way down in Florida... courtesy of a wonderful call from Kathy, which was not the least bit ruined by a conversation with TOMMY TUNES, who I could barely hear over the roar of the throng!!Wish I could have been there. Maybe for "V" I hope.Love the pics, but for those of us not there... we need names (screen names) for those faces!

Raspbernie
Coming Soon…WEEKEND AT BERNIE'SPhoto Caption ContestAl Kaston kept a lookout for super special photo-ops that demand your wittiest captions. The contest will begin as soon as he gets them to me. The best caption will win a prize. I know what you're thinking, we should handicap Tony Cartmill since this game was tailor-made for him, but I've decided to keep this a level playing field.BerniePS: Al guarantees plenty of "caption-worthy" photos featuring EC.com regulars holding brats, making faces and dancing on tables, so get ready! John P
Infinite thanks to Bernie and Kathy. My debut at WOB was a blast. Would luv!!! to attend the next one. This was my 2nd backyard barbecue were one member of one of my all time favorites band was present. First Steve Priest of Sweet in LA and now Jim in NJ. I've come a long way since the days in the 80's when I felt like the only Raspberries fan. Splendid time yesterday. Nice meeting you all. susana
It's wonderful that everyone had such a good time. I was definitely there in spirit...and, believe me, I would much rather have been there than here....especially given the fact I spent the week in throes of the break up of an almost 6 year relationship! Good news is that I hope to be able to (yes, really this time!) spend a little more time here again with everyone. S*
