GREAT stuff!!  I wish I was there!  I had just moved up to NJ to work for Maidenform.

When I was a youngster my mom would take me shopping with her regularly to the big department stores in Newark, NJ. Bamberger's, Hahnes, Kresge, Klein's, and many more. I recall vividly being with her in the Ladies Dept. and seeing ads for Maidenform bras plastered all over the place. They had these exotic photos of shapely women wearing only the bra for a top, and quotes such as, "I dreamed I was on a Caribbean Beach in my Maidenform Bra". I attempted to post one here, but for the past 4 months I have been unable to get any photos accepted. I keep getting a message saying my file exceeds the limit. Maybe an administrator can correct this. Bernie, HELP!

I wasn't able to be at the Cleveland show, but I was fortunate to see 5 shows... 2 at B.B. King's in NYC, 2 at the Highline Ballroom in NYC, and 1 at the House of Blues in the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City. Also the birthday party for Eric at Weekend at Bernie's. Better days, for sure.

I had faith that the reunion would make it out to the left coast and was rewarded with 3 reunion shows. I don't travel much and haven't been much farther east than Las Vegas. I had also been burned on a few occasions with cancelations of Eric concerts that I had tickets for and wasn't willing to take a chance on a 2500-mile heartbreak. I do smile when I think about the people at the first Cleveland show that had never seen Raspberries before. Bernie and Ken Sharp, to name a couple!

I saw Raspberries twice before the 1975 breakup: once in Wayne, NJ at a club who's name escapes me. And the second time was the spring of 1975 at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. This was the lineup with Scott McCarl and Michael McBride. I remember they did a kickass version of Free's "All Right Now". I posted the review of the show in the college paper in another thread here last year.

Such a magical night. Drove in a snowstorm from Chicago, and it was well worth it. When that curtain went up, it was absolutely surreal. Couldn’t believe I was seeing them again live after all these years. It was also great to meet in person some of the people I had spoken to for many years on this website. Let’s do it again, boys!

Nice to see the small town of Cranbury, NJ getting mentioned. Darlene and I both made the trip. (It was just a coincidence that we were from the same zip code).  A few weeks later I went to see her playing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto #2 (aka, ABM) as part of NJ's Capital Philharmonic Orchestra's New Years Eve performance.  Two great shows to close out the year!

OMG! Hadn't thought about that for so long, and suddenly remembered I was there! My daughter worked at The House of Blues Cleveland and was setting the concert up, and thought I'd like to see a band from my era and got the tickets for us. I think we were in the Foundation Room, great seats!  I waited and waited to hear GATW, and it was the very last song! It was the only thing I knew about the Raspberries, but it was my favorite song of all times, and now I get to read and talk about this great musician all the time with you guys! I'm still looking for my ticket from that night. I save everything, how could I not save that!
