I've been a seller & buyer on eBay since 1998.

When I see a high ticket item from a seller who just joined last week and has ZERO feedback, I steer clear.

Also, I will not sell to newbies.  They are either a bad buyer who just changed their name & opened a new account, or they have zero clue of eBay procedures.

This is a newer policy for me with the advent of a new type of buyer.

I started back in the pre-PayPal days when the people online were of a high caliber and educated.

You actually corresponded with buyers.  Personal checks and money orders were accepted.

Yes, transactions took longer, but there was a civility and decorum to those transactions, and I have remained friends with a group from those early days.

Ok, I'll step off the soapbox now.
