Kirk
There must be some pretty sophisticated programs that are available to the general public- I've seen several of these lately: 4
Lew Bundles
Never realized how intricate and Beach Boyish the background vocals were…God, I hope when I host karaoke that nobody tries this one…Would be a complete butcher job…Good find, Kirk…

LC
A few things: • At first, I thought, this isn't Raspberries. It's really the original master that's used here? • It makes you realize how vital Eric's voice was to this song and others. Yet it also amplifies the brilliance of the arrangement and effectiveness of the backup vocals. • I love the Beach Boys influence here. But I'm also hearing some "Be My Baby" influence — a song we know Eric digs. • Also, the closing moments get into truly uplifting rock-influenced power-pop, revealing more of an edge than I've heard. And that's amazing, considering I've listened to "Let's Pretend" probably a thousand times. (Who counts?) • Hearing the components in this version is making me rethink my Raspberries rankings. "Let's Pretend" has always been among my six or seven or eight favorites, but it has to climb up now. • Bernie, was this the first time you've used "glorious" on the bulletin board? It's totally apropos. Can't think of a more fitting word.

Michelle
It goes to show how much Wally, Dave and Jim's backup vocals add such richness to Eric's vocals.
raspathens
What really stands out for me in all of these is the rhythm guitar, which is somewhat masked in the original productions.
