Burt Bacharach

Recommended Posts

Well...RIP, Burt. He was a giant! In later years, he collaborated a bit with Elvis Costello. The two of them wrote some songs for a movie most people never saw (if you haven't, look it up), called "Grace of My Heart"—a quasi somewhat biographical take on Carole King's life. Anyway, this was the tune. So great!

New music in "Grace of My Heart" that recreates the essence of everything from Carole's days at the Brill Building to "Tapestry" was written by incredible songwriters from the period including the aforementioned Burt Bacharach as well as Carole Bayer Sager, Gerry and Louise Goffin, Lesley Gore, and Joni Mitchell.

Trumpeter Chris Botti (with Canadian singer Chantal Kreviazuk) "The Look Of Love" (from 2003 "A Thousand Kisses Deep") (audio only & album track). Chantal also sang "Feels Like Home" (from 1999 "Songs From The TV Series "Dawson's Creek") & the remake of the late John Denver "Leaving On A Jet Plane" (from the 1998 movie soundtrack "Armageddon").
