LC Posted April 3, 2022 Share Posted April 3, 2022 I laughed at Bernie's "ouch" but I totally agree with Kjoh80's comment. I love this. The isolated vocals—are so incredible in this setting... better than I ever thought they were (and I've always thought they were great, from the time I was a 12-year-old). They sound more revealed, somehow, and also revealing. And the echo-y thing adds a very ethereal touch. It's like hearing a great old song refreshed. Who knows how they pulled this off—slowing down the vocals while still keeping them "real time"? I find anytime that vocals are artificially slowed down, it gives the performance a slurred, almost drunk sounding delivery, and this is no exception.
