Talk to focus on Cleveland, rock 'n' roll

CANAL FULTON  The Friends of the Canal Fulton Public Library will preset a program on Cleveland’s background as a rock ’n’ roll city at 6 p.m. Sept. 26 at the library.

Deanna Adams, author of “Rock ’n’ Roll and the Cleveland Connection” and the photographic collection “Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Roots,” will talk about the Moondog Coronation Ball, Alan Freed, Bill Randle, Casey Kasem and other DJs from local stations. The program also will include the playing of recordings by artists such as the O’Jays, the James Gang, Eric Carmen, Devo and Chrissie Hynde.

Seating is limited. Register at the circulation desk.
