You're more of a purist, Susie, or something like that. Which I respect. I on the other hand, like "schmaltzy" ballad covers, like this one here. I didn't even know this version existed till a couple days ago when I was searching/studying up on new music. Crystal can sing, she's not just a tv star trying to milk her celebrity status.

And Kirk, I don't think the song got within 10 miles of #1. But it MIGHT make my top 10. : )

I remember this was played a decent amount on our local station. It got to #22 on the Adult Contemporary chart, but only #86 on the Hot 100.

Well, I didn't think so either, but I remembered seeing it somewhere...what do you make of this:

Crystal Bernard (of TV "Wings" & "Happy Days") had 3 more songs including "Have We Forgotten What Love Is" (Billy Dean, backing vocal) that went to # 57 (Billboard Country Charts) in December of 1996. The song "State Of Mind" went to # 70 (Country) in March of 1997. The song "Don't Touch Me There" went to # 25 (Adult Contemporary) in April of 1999. Craig was right on the charting information on Billboard!!

That's funny! How can you be #1 on the Bubbling Under The Top 100 chart? Wouldn't that make it 101?!

If the Hot 100 went beyond 100, then yes, that would make it 101. But they felt the need to create the Bubbling Under chart for those singles that are outside of the Hot 100. It is a bit silly.
