#2 is Johnny Rivers

Alias John Ramistella, nice Italian boy who still performs periodically. One of my favorite artists. I have been fortunate and saw him live twice. Here is a fairly recent ( 2012 ) live performance of what I consider to be his finest work:

Johnny Rivers had nine top ten hits…Eight of them were covers , but the only #1 song he had, ironically was the only top ten entry that he wrote…”The Poor Side Of Town”…

I have always found that to be very gratifying for Johnny, as it showed that not only was he a talented performer, but also a gifted writer. The song exudes emotion and imagery.

Another great cover by Johnny of a 60's soul classic...

I saw Johnny in 1987 at the Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA. He did a 90 minute show with fantastic backup musicians and vocalists. He turned in an A+ performance and was dragged back out by the crowd for 2 encores. I was in the 2nd row. What memories.

After Quiz #7:

Batman 7
susie b 7
Matthew C. Clark 6
Lew Bundles 5
Kirk 2
Doreen 1
James 1

The only unanswered one was Question #6. Player

I liked Baby Come Back, and This Time I'm In It For Love even more. I knew nothing about the group. My mother watched a soap opera called The Bold And The Beautiful. There was a character on the show named Ridge Forrester.

A few years later, I bought the Player album, and saw Ridge Forrester (Ron Moss) on the cover. I was shocked. I never realized that he was in Player.
