LC
I remember both of us commenting on this under-appreciated EC B-side number, Bernie, so... I figured I'd give it a "Play" here: PS: Thanks for keeping this board alive!
Lew Bundles
What a great number...I always loved b-sides that weren’t (originally) on any lp...Made you feel like it was an extra bonus song from your favorite that not too many people knew...Good call LC...I think that’s a future topic, “b-sides” that we’re never part of an original album release...Like Daytime Nighttime Suffering...
Kirk
Everyone here is aware of the Tonight/Ecstasy controversy. One day Tonight is your favorite, the next day it's Ecstasy. I do the same thing with Someday/Hey Deanie. Another pairing is All For Love/Sleep With Me. Who can chose?
James
I remember buying it. I'd seen the 45 of (maybe it was She did it" ) in the store , and I looked at the B side out of curiosity and what did I find, but for me new Eric Carmen material!!! I was fired up! I took it home and listened, and I loved the song, but it always had the B side stigma for me. It didn't deserve the stigma, but I couldn't shake it especially given that (at the time) Eric had decided not to put it on the "Boats....." album. That was the mind of James back in the day. Fortunately I've since overcome my B-side phobia. : )

Raspbernie
"Someday" is so great! I especially love when the full band kicks in after Eric's vocal/piano only intro. And how Eric's voice does a little squeak when he sings, "Some DAAAAAAY." And the Beach Boys-style backing vocals. And the bridge. And the "diddits." And the sentiment. Every guy has thought this about a girl who leaves him. As for whoever that girl was that broke Eric's heart. Well, guess what? He's cool. So there.
