Kirk
This could become a regular feature- I'm rather enjoying these:

kyletx500
I actually used that exact video to help figure out the chords on piano! Now I can play the song pretty well but I can't sing it! I like to think I have a pretty decent range, but the high notes in the chorus (especially the C#5) are really difficult if I try and sing them in full voice. I've heard Eric doesn't have a falsetto register, but it sounds like he's using some kind of falsetto or mixed voice to reach those notes in the recording. It's a breathier vocal timbre that (as far as I can tell) is unique to his performance in this song. Perhaps you would have some insight on this Bernie? Raspbernie
Eric confirmed to me on a number of occasions that he does not have a falsetto. He'd just full-out hit the notes, which is pretty remarkable! Bernie

I know Eric's known for some high notes, but in "She Did It" he starts high and then just goes into the stratosphere! There's some serious vocal gymnastics going on, which is one of the reasons I love the song so much. Thanks for the response Bernie.
