The First Day of Winter! juhuu :) , happy winter!

Weather Canada lied to me. I expected a milder than usual start, froze my *** off two days ago, we had four inches of snow two days ago, and at least it warmed up enough to 33 today so I could run errands. The stores, even the big box stores AND the city have run completely out of snow. I feel sorry for anyone who slipped and fell. I didn't.

I know how our member in Newmarket feels. We're all struggling to heat homes, which is unusual, but da gubmint is sooooo greedy! Just ask Valorie, and the rest of us. Grrrrr. Brrrr...

And with me being a fellow Canadian EC.Com member I know it feels it sure got cold and Snowy in British Columbia this month although most of the melted away a few days ago and I now Iwouldn't be to surprised if We got more snow even though a month ago I expected a milder winter myself---Tammy Quick ?❄️?❄️

I love the first day of Winter.  I really do. It brings to mind beautiful things.

LIKE how cold you guys will be over the next months, scraping your windshields free of ice every morning etc.  .....while I (James) will be wearing shorts and a t-shirt, enjoying the warm weather, basking in the sun, etc.

Yes, how I  do love "Winter"..

:-)

GirlFan, I'll buy James a walk-in freezer. He knows I'm only kidding.

Our snow is now melting, it's 3 Celsius (27 in the way I was raised)  and I feel much better now.  I'd love to nab those idiots who didn't clear the sidewalks. Yes, I walked on the road, so Santa's not happy with me or them!

James, you need seven feet of snow and a toboggan!

I checked them out, and watched several videos on YouTube.  They (Curly Strings) are the real deal.  A string band
who plays American Bluegrass mixed with a sound that comes from their Estonian roots. Each of the 6 or so songs I listened to were blue chip. Clean, crisp sound with strong melodies and some real good jamming, with a classy look and presentation from the band.

A great find for me, thanks Katariina!  I will likely be buying some of their music.

I´m not their first fan , but, their music is easy to listen, and the message is clear, and easy to remember and sing along - young people love them (children as well). The most curly guys are a married  couple (violin + mandolin). They are always so joyful, as their music :) . My favourite is (the lyrics -> about the power of music, wich make us to be better people, make us come together and so on :), all the good things :
