paperdoll82
A $94 million opening weekend! Not bad, Mr. Carmen, not bad. I'd ask if you want to start a venture in which we make predictions (since we both called it last week), but it looks like you already have something going. Big-time congrats! Eric Carmen
$160,000,000 Worldwide. I applaud Marvel for letting James Gunn make the movie he wanted to make. They took a risk, and it certainly did pay off! When you let artists do what they do, and support them, great things can happen!
MikeC
It was expected to make 65 million dollars. I haven't seen it, yet. And guess who else has a movie out? Mick Jagger is the producer for "Get On UP" He has a very small scene, that he says is not significant to the story of James Brown movie- Spinning to a snycopated beat, mm Shoes turn in cirles with your feet-uh Fandango and Visa credit card have a deal: Buy two tickets to any movie, and get one free ticket for 'GOTA" movie. That means any other movie name, too, other than GOTA. Or two for GOTA, and the next one free.
liseli
I'm glad the movie is going to be very popular! What a start! I always thought Eric Carmen's hits should have been at #1 on the charts, back in the olden days. Maybe this is the year.
Eric Carmen
Well, the three movie soundtracks I've been involved with in one way or another have all gone to number one. "Footloose", "Dirty Dancing" and now, "Guardian's Of The Galaxy." The "Footloose" soundtrack is the record that knocked "Thriller" out of the number one slot.

roundmoonwoman
This is all so fabulous. Plan to see the movie this weekend. . .can't wait. Do I understand correctly that the soundtrack is not available on CD? Last thought: I already have my Paul McCartney tickets for this fall. The only thing that would BEAT that--yes, BEAT that--would be tix to an Eric Carmen performance. Jus' sayin'.
