JohnO
Former guitarist with Ronnie Dawson, Kim Lenz & The Jaguars, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and his own bands (most recently Nick Curran & The Low-Lifes), AND one of my Facebook Friends, Nick Curran, passed away this past Saturday at age 35, after battling oral cancer for the past 3 years. Saw him most recently in Maxwells in Hoboken in 2010. Nick looked bad, had lost a lot of weight, but he & his band fried our butts that night with his live show. Videos being posted soon. RIP, Nick....

MikeC
Sad to hear about someone like that, John. Luckily, we can see and hear him play, again. I was fortunate to have seen Little Richard at one of his last concerts.
JohnO
Mike - I'm a bit confused. Little Richard is still alive, although he has had problems since his hip surgery. I saw him at the Howard Theater in DC in mid-June (was carried on-stage). Did he perhaps retire from performing very recently?
MikeC
Little Richard, I think he said, retired from performing. I believe it's because of his energetic shows. He puts so much energy into a show, that it's difficult to do that for the entire show. He liked touring, but he felt he couldn't do them in his famous style.
