hollies65
For some reason I cannot log on here without getting a temporary password. It's a pain in the rectum, but I've been doing it lately.

hollies65
I see FB having staying power...however, I would never invest in it!

My business partner wanted to invest in FB during the IPO. I had just read where General Motors was not happy with the CTR (Click-Through-Revenue) from FB and stopped its ads. I told my partner no thanks. I said I wouldn't be surprised if it gained 10 pts the first day........or if it fell like a rock. He got in at $39+. I stayed on the sidelines. I love FB AND I see it hanging on for quite sometime, although something surely will replace it as the new best social site...but some of the investment hysteria was from too many people emotionally involved. In business/investing..........keep emotions OUT of the analysis. What do I know.....I'm just a Price/Earnings kind of guy.

Kirk
I concur...on FB, you can tell the details of your spa day
Wendy-Ann
I concur. Here...being half naked in a European spa may not bring that much interest. But on my FB, I rule my wall. And my spa day is a "must share!"

Aventurine
I'd post it again. Many of you said EC.com is Ec.com, FB is FB.Then EC.com have few posts currently. It's my concern when I posted before.
Wendy-Ann
Not everything that one would post on their FB would be posted here. FB is a social network and we all have our OWN "space" to say what we wish. HOWEVER. This is the "Eric Carmen website" so it wouldn't make sense to do what we do on FB. People will post here when something is relevant. Right now there are no concerts, or news on Eric. But, when there is something new---anything new, someone will post. I think we can all agree that, there is much more to life than FB or ec.com. So embrace that and when something happens on either site, join in if you wish. FB and ec.com are like apple and oranges. Two totally different things. PS: And...not everyone is on FB.
Aventurine
Yes, that's right, Wendy!I started FB, so I knew these are quite differeat. It is so fun to communicate with freind in private. But everybody have only 24 hours, there is not much left after I've stayed at FB.At least I don't poste than before. There are few response....it's boring. Well, it's not interesting my post....I guess.

Julie
I don't come here as often as I used to. A big part of it is because I can't seem to stay 'logged in'. I'll put in my user name and password and it says 'welcome Julie', but when I click on a thread or try to post it says I'm not logged in. I thought maybe I had been banned or something. I changed my password and I am on for the first time in months, but I don't know if I'll be able to come back. I tried to post in the 'shout box' and it said it was sending, but I can't see it. *sigh*
James
Gosh Julie, there must be a malfunction or something.I think Bernie created that sign-in problem only for Hollies!:-)

Eric used to have a pretty jumping MySpace page a few years ago. Remember MySpace? Facebook is today's flavor of social media, and they're doing everything they can to make sure they're not the next MySpace. Although from all of the complaints over some of the forced user experiences there (Timeline, anyone?), I can easily see a day when everyone starts jumping ship for something else as soon as it catches on. Eric will be back. This is his home. I always leave a light on for him Bernie Bernie, didn't you change your opinion even still now? I must say it's not good for this site. What do you make of it, and what do you think we should do?
