Ah, I get it now.... In our pay league, commissioned by yours truly, we have 11 of our 12 owners back. (It's been a very, very stable league.) However, I believe Tunes Jr. hasn't signed up and won't be signing up — I'm remembering something about that from our estimable Vice-Commissioner & Director of Recruiting, BH Pat. So... I'm starting to get with the program. (It's been a rough year....)

So, a 12th owner would be nice. It's $20 to have a team, and the top four teams win money ($120/$60/$40/$20). It's competitive in a good way — we have a really astute group, so it's a nice challenge. And there's real parity; we've had five different champions in six years. (Tunes would like me to note that he's our only two-timer, and that he plans to be a three-timer after this season).

So... give it a shot, somebody....

(If no one steps forward, I'm just gonna assign a team to Cartmill. Now, y'all don't wanna put Tony through that, do you?)

Signup for the ECL (free) will close next Thursday, 03/15/12. This will give me enough time prior to our draft (03/26) to decide what avenues, if needed, there are to pursue finding an extra player or players. Yahoo stipulates we must have an equal number of teams, so if you haven't signed up and need an invite sent or re-sent, now is the time to let me know. Please IM me here with your email, as most of the emails in Yahoo are hidden.

I'll be seeing the Mets against the Tigers (I believe) on Friday 3/16 with my brothers. Clearly I'm scouting both clubs for my baseball draft. Naaaaaah....how can I scout when I have a beer in each hand and hot dogs in my pockets? grin

Just a thought... if you're serious about scouting for players to draft, you might want to focus on the Tigers... :yikes:

In the money league, we have one spot open. Tom, I sent you an invitation. Marlene, per your earlier post, do you want to play in two leagues? If so you can snag that spot. Tony Cartmill, any interest? It's a mere $20 to play. Top four teams win money ($120/$60/$40/$20).

PM me or BH Pat with any questions....

Love and baseball,

Commissioner LC and Vice-Commissioner BH Pat (who doubles as commish of the E.C. league, if you haven't been following along)

Per Pat's note:

ERIC CARMEN BASEBALL LEAGUE (free):

RASPBERRIES BASEBALL LEAGUE ($20 per team):

And from me... in the money league, we actually have two spots open (we have 10). If we stick with 10, we will likely pay out the top three instead of four. But I'm hoping we reel in two people who wanna play. I'll set Tuesday, March 20 as our "league lock" day. So... let me know. Anyone? —Commissioner LC

GONE!!!!! (.....at least for the ECL. RBL closes on 03/20/12) So, the ECL (free league) will have fourteen teams, broken into two divisions, but the top six (no matter what division they are in) teams will make the playoffs. Very sad that my good friend, TOMMY TUNES, is not returning to our league, but we are happy to welcome back Mitch and Jay and give a warm welcome to our newest players, Miriam and Kim!

Watched ESPN's fantasy baseball preview. Boy, how do some of us get that gig? They rank the top ten at every position and yet, MANY players that they have ranked as high as the top five or six for their position, they also have on their "do NOT draft list." So, you predict that someone is the fifth best player at his positiion for 2012, yet you are telling us not to draft them????? Nice gig, if you can get it!
