Wow! What a list. Thank you, Aventurine. Where'd you get it?

I've heard a few of these songs, like "Long Live Rock and Roll" (I remember buying that 45 rpm single in the 1980s). And I've heard "Long Live Rock and Roll," which of course was the early version of "Make Me Lose Control." And the songs with Bryson and Klawon go way back. Plus I think Bernie mentioned some of these in his biography of Eric. But there are many here that I haven't heard.

I'd love to hear more details on the others. There are certain titles that intrigue ("Your Last Chance" sounds like it's a good brush-off. And... "The Lord Is in My Piano"? I wonder if there are clues about that one in some of the Religion threads in the Cartoon World section at EC.com...?)

There are a few people on here that have 'bootlegs' of a number of these songs. I have the following:

I Can’t Get Enough Of Your Lovin’

I Surely Do

It Should Have Been Me

Light The Way

Long Live Rock and Roll

The Lord Is In My Piano

Please Let Me Come Back Home

The Rock Stops Here

Running Hot

Southern Comfort

Young Hearts On Fire

Hey no offense, but I can't believe that Eric titled a song "The Lord Is My Piano."

Most likely, there IS a demo of these, since I heard Eric recorded a publishing/copyright catalouge of just about everything he has composed that wasn't already in demo form, in the early 90s?

That way, new artists that are desperate to stay hot and are looking for quality songs to keep them on top in the future, will be able to mine Carmen Composition Gold for years to come to fill out their new releases...That way, Eric's kids and grandkids will keep getting these new source royalty checks in the mail.

  • 11 years later...

Does anyone think a complete section on this site can be devoted to the recordings, not thro threads, but just a compilation of all Eric's music and demo tapes for easy access to listen to on those nights when you need a dose of Eric?  I'd like to say I'll help, but sometimes I'm all thumbs when it comes to much in web design.
