The headline of this thread caught my eye although I haven't been on-line as much as usual this summer. Misfortunes of others make me feel sad and I'm not sure what to say. I feel guilty that I've been oudoors taking advantage of these "long hot days".

Missm seemed to always offer a kind word, and be friendly to new members, often with helpful or inspirational advice. She didn't complain much about her high-risk pregnancy, and I hope she gets well soon.

Her favorite ec song is "Someday" from her profile page, this song is one of my favorites also. Maybe if I play it for her it will bring her some joy:

I haven't been here either--tied up starting new business and working long hours.

Popped in today and saw this.

Miriam, you're in my thoughts and prayers. Be strong and please get well.

Kim

I'm really upset to hear about our beautiful Missm. Her sweet little TJ is an angel--so precious! How sad to hear that she is so ill just after giving birth to TJ.

Beth, your prayers are so beautiful. I know God hears them and they will bear fruit. I join in offering my prayers for Miriam, Tommie and little TJ in hopes for a quick and complete recovery.

Thanks a million, Kim, for posting this. Miri is a very important part of this family and we all love her. She's one of the kindest, most beautiful people inside and out that I've ever met. God is good. Surely she will be well again soon.

Love, heartpump Darlene

Thanks everyone for your prayers and concern for me and my family. With the loss of our mother in June, what happened to me was extremely frightening for both my sister and my hubby.

Here is a brief explanation. I have had Crone's disease most of my life and have been in remission for more than 10 years. The symptoms I started experiencing last Tuesday morning led me to believed it was another flare up. Well, I could not have been more wrong. I was thankful that Tommie was still on vacation with the baby and I so I stayed in bed until 7:30 pm and then went to the hospital. I was CT scanned and such until I was admitted around 3 am.

The naval doctors at Camp Pendleton had no answers and had me transferred to the Naval Regional Medical Center San Diego where they promptly diagnosed an SBO (small bowel obstruction) and a perforated uterus. I had surgery for both on Friday evening. That was where I am told things got really scary and sad for my family. My BP kept dropping and my heartrate was skyrocketing. The way Tommie describes it is that when he was able to see me, he was searching his pockets for coins...referencing my trip across the river styxx.

I was on the ventiltor all of Friday and Saturday and finally got off of it on Sunday. I am so thankful for the wonderful staff at NCMED San Diego. They allowed Tommie and TJ to stay at the facility the entire time. Tommie knew I would lose if if woke up and could not see our TJ. Needless to say, he and TJ have had some serious Daddy and baby bonding time!
