Paulie Mississippi
Thanks for the kind words again... Just added one of my older bird pics... and plan to shoot some new stuff in Minidoka again tomorrow... I still have several shots I haven't worked on or shared yet to go as well... so keeping 'em coming be too hard for the foreseeable future. Paulie Mississippi
Expanding my horizons a bit here... one of my fellow RR Photogs doubles as a videographer... and it inspired me to try out the video feature of my own camera... just posted my first videos to YouTube. Paulie Mississippi
Again I thank all my friends. "Union Pacific Trio on Snake River Bridge" is rapidly becoming my most popular photograph since I began posting. I might need to print it in a larger format just to see how it looks on paper... 8 X 10 looks good, but I'm thinking maybe poster? Or framed 11 X 17? ECatw
Nice job Paulie! Pic looks really good!An 11x17 (or even 16x20) would be a nice one to hang up at home, if it doesn't look too grainy.
Paulie Mississippi
I shoot extremely large... and if I convert to PNG I'm told it can be blown up even larger without losing resolution...
ECatw
That sounds great! Pick a wall and see where it will look best. That picture has beautiful colors!

blackhawkpat
Hey Paulie, we had a big train derailment a few blocks from my house today and had four double stacked box cars almost falling off an elevated bridge into a busy traffic intersection that tied up the South Side of Chicago for five hours this morning. I was thinking, "where's Paulie and his camera?" You'd have done a masterful job on that, my friend!
RaspBen
Hey Pat was that at 47 th and Archer? My uncle works for Union Pacific do you know which railroad? Did not hear anything about this today.Monica
blackhawkpat
Hey Pat was that at 47 th and Archer? My uncle works for Union Pacific do you know which railroad? Did not hear anything about this today.Monica I believe the rail was BNSF. They shut down Archer from 6:30 AM until almost 2:00 PM, which caused massive traffic jams elsewhere, as that is a major artery in the city.http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-freight-train-derailment-blocks-metras-heritage-line-20111202,0,4632473.story
Paulie Mississippi
You're right, I'd have been as close as I could get to shoot pictures... never hope for an accident, but if one happens; someone's gotta shooot the pix, right?
