ira Posted August 9, 2011 Author Share Posted August 9, 2011 Steve...as you know...people living in the Renaissance...did not know they were part of it....It's a term that was dubbed later...I think a record can have "Dual Citizenship" as a member of The British Invasion" and containing the elements which in hindsight has been deemed "Power Pop".No matter..we agree on the main point...Great Record Indeed! She is the daughter of June Carter Cash and was Johnny's step-daughter. She and Nick were married briefly. I guess all their excesses ruined their marriage. Close to pedophilia in my opinion.Do I think young boys look at older women this way? YES! My nephew's friends looked at me and my sister that way. In fact, that's when I found out what MILF meant. UGH! GROSS!But all in all...when I hear this song or see this video...it creeps me out. I personally see this as more new wave than power pop. But...to each his own.
