marvin
Mentioned this on another thread, same topic, I bought my ticket for the show weeks ago, but finally booked a flight tonight. Will be arriving in Cleveland Friday night (Oct 21st), so for those who are going (Tim, JohnO, Steve...), pls get in touch with me. Thanks. Tim From Wisconsin
I figured I would move this thread to a well traveled part of the board since the event is coming up pretty fast now.It seems that there will be a good number of board members attending. It will be a cool event at a really cool venue!I will be on a short midwest trip - Going from Milwaukee to Detroit the 19th - 21st of October, then down to Cleveland the 21st, and returning to Milwaukee on the 23rd.Feel free to chime in if you will be there - It would be great to get together somewhere on Friday night the 21st.Tim
Tiggsherby
Many tickets left? I'm thinking about it but I have to make sure there are no Phillies World Series home games that weekend !

No, you won't have to worry about the World Series since the Milwaukee Brewers will be there! Tim
Wendy-Ann
I'm going. But without my best friend so, I'm kind of bumming.HOWEVER...I've spoken to Tim, it seems like a nice pre-get together would be in order, I suppose Friday night.Jim Bonfanti is also playing that night, So I'm doing both---I'm a chick with a car...I can multi-task. I saw Jim the last time I was there and OMGOSH...that band rocked! But most of all, I get to see my Ohio buds and Tim!
Tiggsherby
I am strongly thinking about it, but it would be a last minute decision. What's the outlook for a sellout and if so, the possibility of scrounging up just one ticket, at the last minute???

What's the outlook for a sellout and if so, the possibility of scrounging up just one ticket, at the last minute??? I know they started with 4 levels of tickets: The Bryson Group website SRO tickets which are sold out, General SRO tickets, first come first served seats, and VIP tickets. You could probably check the venue's website as it gets closer to see if there are still tickets available, or if they will be selling them at the door.http://www.beachlandballroom.com/calendar.asp?Page=6Tim
Tim From Wisconsin
...just one week until Raspberries songs will be played live once again! John P
Let me know if there is a pre or after show get together. Making the trip from NYC for the show.
MikeC
I'd say, get there early John. And hang out after. You probably will see some of the people you know near the front. If they have things to sell, like T-shirts, you might see some of them them there. It will be interesting to see if Wally and company (meaning the other musicians) will play next year on a mini-tour, or something. Maybe two weeks, then a month break, if they want. This gives the musicians chances to play other concerts, too. Maybe a few House Of Blues restaurant/concert venues. There were also VIP tickets when I saw The Raspberries. marvin
It's unfortunate that this show is not getting the prominence that it deserves. There are only a handful of people who have seen Scott McCarl and Wally perform together in the past, and this show might be as close as you get to a reunion of members of Raspberries. I'm making the flight across two countries to be there. If you're anywhere close and can make it, you should.
hollies65
It'll be a sellout.
Tim From Wisconsin
It'll be a sellout. I agree! Either people are deciding to be quiet about their arrival, or they don't understand just how cool this show will be. This is a once in a lifetime chance to see an amazing group of musicians gather for a good cause.Tim
marvin
It'll be a sellout. Steve, I don't doubt that it will be a sell-out. My confusion lies with the fact that other than Tim and you, hardly anyone else on this Message Board is pushing the show. Maybe they are being "quiet about their arrival." I'll be looking forward to the reviews, and hopefully some video...the last time I saw Wally and Scott was 1998 during Poptopia at Dragonfly in Hollywood...seemed like they hadn't missed a beat since the Raspberries! MJ
Please if you can take photos, video (shhhh) whatever - I'd love to see Scott and Wally perform again along with Jesse and Billy Sullivan and everyone else. I could really kick myself this time for not attending but I had soooo many auto repairs this month plus insurance I just couldn't get that kind of cash to stay up there for a few days... I will be there in total spirit cheering them all on for a great cause..... Have a great time everyone who is attending the show!!!
Raspbernie
Ditto. Saw them play together back when Scott's solo CD came out and had a BLAST I'd love to be there, but can't make it this time. Should be AMAZING for everyone lucky enough to be there!Bernie
Paulie Mississippi
Hopefully someone will make a video available... I couldn't afford the trip, but... I could probably drop a few bucks for a video!
MJ
You know SINCE it is a BENEFIT for children and music - perhaps they will have an official shot video of it to raise more funds - and if they didn't someone should have called me so I could have told them they'd make more money for the cause by offering a video!!! There are still a LOT of Wally/Raspberries/Choir/Robin Electric fans out there that would be glad to fork out some dough for this great cause! hollies65
Yep, they did a great acoustic version.
hollies65
Wally opened with "I'd Rather You Leave Me" played solo on his 12 string rick. Dave Burke and Randy Klawon joined Wally for It's cold outside. Scott of course sang "Play On" which kicked all kinds of ass. Rich Spina and Billy Sullivan back Wally on most of the Fotomaker and Raspberries stuff. Wally closed with "Party's Over". Wally was as funny as a good stand up comedian!
