ira
Gene had some GREAT dramatic songs in the 60's...truly an under-rated R&B voice....He also went on to write Roberta Flack's "Feel Like Makin' Love..a grammy winner..."Before You Accuse Me" (Creedence and Eric Clapton) and remained active till his death. Here's an adorable video of Gene and some teens in 2010.R.I.P. Gene.

JohnO
Ira - "Before You Accuse Me" was written (and first recorded) by Ellas McDaniel, AKA Bo Diddley, and not Gene McDaniels. Not the same guy.
GMan
I heard that. That's a shame...I remember the song well and I liked it when I was a kid. RIP Gene. That was a cool video, Ira. You're right again, John. "Before You Accuse Me" was written by the great Bo Diddley.

JohnO
Sure, you can. Just don't pull a Roger C, and claim that Andy Pettite misremembered, or we may subpoena hm (& his wife)!
