Bessieboo
I had a fun day yesterday four of my girlfriends and I were chosen to be extras for the concert sequences in the movie Rock of Ages - We loved the play earlier this year.We were asked to wear 80's outfits and hair (one of my galpals has never stopped) We looked grrr - ate !After we were chose we were taken to a "secret location" Dolphin stadium. We screamed, reacted, and clapped all day long and then got paid ! Tom Cruise was great and I am not really a fan of his, he greeted many, many, many people after his scenes were done. BTW - he is a real little guy.We had fun, and scratched another thing off the list of things to do before we can't.Look for me in the concert scenes when the movie comes out . S_O_L
this isnt quite on the same level as your experience...dont think anyone will offer him a star on the walk of fame or anything but my newphew will be shooting a local commercial next week..LITERALLY dude needs some one to shoot up some cars (with a gun) for a tv ad...knows nephew can shoot, so he asked if he would do it..think the dumb little fart is gonna do it for free. ..whut??? missm
Beth that is fantastic news!! You'll have to let us know what you wore so we can look for you in the film!!!
Bessieboo
They told us to wear all black 80's type clothing. We all hope to be seen so we knew we had to stand out. I had on black lace Madonna type skirt and white lace top, scarfs, super high pumps, huge hair with a big red bow. One friend had a pink flashdance top and huge red hair. Another, had a silver torn disco-looking top. The third obeyed and wore all black and Linda, looked like a 70's hippy chick - she was confused !We were pretty far back in the center, I really doubt they caught us on film but it was fun anyways !Today, we were debating what to do with our paychecks. One soft hearted friend wants to send it to one of the charities we are involved with, the husbands think we should take them out we talked about framing them but I think we will use it to do something else fun

Bessieboo
It really wasn't really about being seen for us.It was more like having a cool experience together. These girlfriends of mine all share the the feeling that we don't need or want things anymore, we have more than we ever thought we would have. Money is not an issue anymore. It's time to take on new challenges and experiences. We zip-lined in Alaska and Hanalei,Hawaii, and in the Caribbean ,saw too many a volcano's -it wasn't on my list Swam with sharks, alligators,rays,dolphins.... all done.Whale watchingride a segwayI Rode the London Eye -they didn't yetCatch a salmon clean and eat it - they made me clean them! Get 100 people to donate blood, we got 210 !Read 1000 booksBleached our hair blond at the same time - Not a good look for me !Ride a mattress down a staircaseall doneI still want to ride a gondola in VeniceSky dive - but I am chickenGet a PatentAs soon as I cross one off, I think of a few more

My husband and I were in Ireland in June, it is one of my favorite places on earth. Do not kiss the Blarney stone, the locals may or may not relieve themselves on it.GO to IrelandThe mattress resulted in more than a few bruises - I did it three times to be sure I had the true experience

Bessieboo
The beauty of it is, my list isn't your list and your list isn't my list. It's about dreaming and dreaming big. After that you just have to take a few steps to make your dreams come true.Although... I am really afraid to skydiveI may never scratch that one off the list. Also, somethings are much more possible than you think. Swimming with any of the things on my list was easy, because of where I live. It sounds more grand than it is, I grew up swimming with alligators and never thought anything about it.So, when one of my girlfriends wanted to do it we just did it.Remember a three foot alligator is still an alligator and they are not too scary.I just don't want to have a lot of what if's and I should have's.I like to jump into the deep end !What things do you all what to do ?Dream Big !!!
