A friend of mine and I were talking and he told me I should list some of my poetry on here. I didn't think I could or should because this is about music, or at least I thought it was but he told me to list it in the everything section. So just to shut him up I am listing a few of them. laugh Just kidding!!

Diary of a Madman

Mornings upon me, the new days begun

Down come the shades, to block out the sun...

I grab for my pillow, to bury my head

Surrounded by covers, in my fortress, called bed...

The tick of the clock falls mute upon deaf ears

Each second that passes, only adds to my fears...

Struggling with demons, that live deep inside

Trying to escape them, with no place to hide...

Trapped in this madness, inside of my head

Playing back reruns, of things done and said...

Shutting out those who have stood by my side

Trying to free me from this dangerous ride...

My days are lonely, my nights find no sleep

I long for the one, who I just couldn't keep...

Memories consume every piece of my heart

Wanting an end, but not knowing how to start...

I've lost myself; I have forgotten how to live

Feeling so empty, I have nothing to give...

My life has no meaning, each day like the last

Caught up in this hell, I'm stuck living in my past...

True Beauty

You tell me that I’m beautiful, please don’t judge me by my face

Look beyond the gift wrap, into a deeper place

My face is just a canvas, painted with despair

Lines etched around my eyes are far beyond repair

My body has been broken and stressed beyond my years

Battle wounds and surgeon’s scars have caused so many tears

Unwrap this package gently and look inside of me

That’s where you’ll find my beauty lies; it’s there for all to see

I am a beautiful woman, and thinking that is no sin

For I know just where my beauty lies, my beauty is within

  • 3 weeks later...

Even though I heard rumors she is sometimes bedridden and one bad day from becoming a serial killer (where did I get those ideas?)

Well my guess would be that your twisted mind is working overtime! smile But anyway, I did have a few really tough years, BUT I am far from bedridden and "IF" I ever decide to take up serial killing...YOU will be the first person I look up! :yikes:

Brownie, have you ever thought of having your poems published? I think you have a very special talent there, and you should look into it. The beauty within was excellent and I wish people would all look at others in that way. The world would be a much better place and people would not be judged by their looks alone.

Yea. I like to dabble in a bit of poetry myself, but I don't think mine are good enough, and also, I wouldn't know how to get started with publishing. You ought to ask around though, someone probably knows. Anyone on this site knowledgable about that?

I absolutely LOVE this poem! I have printed a copy of it so I can keep it to read whenever I want. Brownie, you have immense talent as a poet! Please try to find a publisher so you can have an avenue to express yourself professionally. You're way to good not to be published! Your talents deserve to be exposed to a large audience!

I wish you success!!! cool

Won't it be cool if you catch Eric's attention? He does know a tad about writing & publishing!

Kim smile

PS- I hope my printing a copy is ok with you.
