lori
My favorite authors are Mary Higgins Clark, Nicholas Sparks, James Patterson. I like almost anything by them. And I absolutely love to read. To me, it's the best relaxation there is.

Bessieboo
I listened to Life by Keith Richards, I like the first half, maybe three quarters but the end dragged. It was still worth the time .I also listened to From This Moment On -Shania Twain it had a slow start but improved.I reread This Side of Paradise - F. Scott Fitzgerald. I always get so engrossed in Fitzgerald, I think I should have lived in that time period. My favorite read was The Heart and the Fist: The education of a humanitarian, the making of a Navy SEAL by Eric Greitens. My husband finished it and gave it it to me. Not my usual type of book but I really liked it,it was so much more than I expected. Then I zipped through a romantic novel It happened One Season, I do love the fluff !Anyone else reading ? missm
I've read - Tommyland - Tommy Lee - A great book that is insightful and worth reading. He's not a stupid guyI'm Ozzy - Ozzy Osborne - Fascinating, riveting and excellent. Ozzy's life in his own words.Shaq Talks Back - Shaquille O'Neal - Fascinating when it comes to his childhood and such. His memories of the NBA are just as good.Born Round - Frank Bruni - The autobiography of a food critic. Worth it just to read about his childhood and all of that amazing Italian food.Buddy Holly - Ellis Amburn - If your only knowledge of Buddy is what you saw in The Buddy Holly Story, then this is the book to read. It contains interviews with Buddy's brother and friends. Once you read it you will never watch Gary Busey's movie again!
blackhawkpat
I just finished, "My Lucky Life In and Out Of Show Business" by Dick Van Dyke, which was outstanding and I flew through in a week.I am just starting, "2030 The Real Story Of What Happens To America" by Albert Brooks, who I love all his movies, but this is his first shot at writing a book. martinwilbury
The following is a mix of audio and bound books with some being rereads.Currently, I’m reading (a) “Crash of the Titans†(about Bank of America’s acquisition of Merrill Lynch – really interesting, particularly, what took place the weekend Lehman Brothers went under) and ( “The Last Stand†(a nicely researched book about events leading up to, and including, Custer’s debacle).Within the last month, I finished reading © “Revolutionary Characters†(about the personalities of the founding fathers -- a nice companion piece to “Founding Brothersâ€), (d) “The General’s Daughter†(my favorite Nelson DeMille book remains “Plum Island†but “Night Fall†may have caught up – both have somewhat unexpected endings), (e) “13 Bankers†(about the historical growth of financial institution influence on politics – Chapters 4, 5,and 6, leading up to and including the current economic situation, are pretty much guaranteed to give you the ‘willies’), (f) “Life†(Keith Richards autobiography – see above posts) and (g) “To The Hilt†(Dick Francis is always good diversionary fiction but this one is more clever than most).I haven’t found a good science fiction book in years except for Kim Stanley Robinson, who can actually be categorized as a legitimate novelist, and physics books just don’t hold my interest like they used to (probably has more to do with my disenchantment over shaky mathematics). MikeC
Just beginning to read two magazines that are new on the rack, plus, a book on CD of The Brady Bunch T.V. Series- Here's The Story, by Maureen McCormick:Life: Bob Dylan- Forever young. 50 years of song. Bob had an influence on The Beatles, to get their writing a little better. I'll find the Rolling Stone Magazine article, where it's mentioned, from Nov., 2010, I think. I have that magazine.Rolling Stone: Paul Mcartney- Paul's Fresh Start. His New Album, His new life, How The Beatles almost reunited.I read just a quote, so far. And, speaking of entertainment, the highest earner for all entertainment wasn't any movie, any artist, or any band. And I'm not sure if this is a three year total or more.'The Call Of Duty' video games have grossed around 7 billion dollars. Then again, it's because it's what?- $30.00 or something. Or else it would be around 2 billion dollars, at 10 dollars. Don't know, because I don't play them. There must be alot of advertising involved with that. And then there is another record not to be broken, of 'The Hello Dolly' stage show. I believe it was over 5,000 shows by Carol Channing. Who was doing them, I think, into her 90's.And the generosity by the artist Prince, in giving away CD's before concerts.

James
"The Blue Sweater", Bridging the Gap Between Rich and Poor in an interconnected world, by Jacqueline Novogratz-amazing book, autobiography of an American woman our age who has spent 25 years building and supporting businesses in the developing world. It is a page turner and reads like a novel, with adventure etc."John Marshall" - definer of a nation., by Jean Edward Smith-there are a bunch of underrated American heroes who did much to create our nation (Thurgood Marshall, Woodrow Wilson, Fredrick Douglas & others)...but I think John Marshall may be the most influential and underrated."Conqueror", A Novel of Kublai Khan, by Conn Iggulden-I've read the whole series starting with Genghis. The subject matter is fascinating but the last 2 books have dragged on too much and thus aren't written as well as the earlier books.
