Wendy-Ann
My FaceBook friends have already seen these, but here's 3 photos from the Dark Shadows convention I went to with my Mom on Sat-July 17.My mom was so happy as she has hardly left the house since Daddy died, but she drove an hour with me to meet her 2 fave stars from the show. They treated her like a Queen and made her feel so special. She has been reading her autographed program all day. If you want you can click on the photo to see full size of each. Wendy-Ann
Well, I do have to admit that I was going with or without my mom, but I have to say that the sweetest thing is, she hasn't stopped talking about meeting David Selby. She even walks around the house with the program he signed for her in her walker pouch and looks at it constantly. For a woman who hasn't been the same since she lost my Dad...she is on cloud 9, and that is worth more than all the money in the world! Now, if I can find Sean Connery for her...she'll die happy! raspathens
As a 10 year old, Dark Shadows used to scare the bejesus out of me. It got so bad that I went to sleep at night with my hand over my neck. My mother had to make a rule that we couldn't watch it because my brother and I were so agitated right before dinner. Modern "horror" can't hold a candle to that show. After a while, gore gets old. The tone of this show that tapped the base fears lurking deep inside our brains was true art. Remember the warewolf? Holy Christmas!

Shelley
Barnabus Collins the vampire was way ahead of his time!! Was I the only one that wished Barnanus would "kiss" my neck????
Paulie Mississippi
I really enjoyed that show... and the two movies it spawned... But more importantly, as I'm sure most DS fans know, Johnny Depp is slated to play Barnabus Collins in a new Dark Shadows movie, Tim Burton produced of course, out in 2013... TOMMY TUNES
Wendy,What no Jonathan Frid (Barnabus Collins)? Of course I remember Dark Shadows, Quentin and Angelique. Did they have the hand of Count Petoffi there? Loved that show. Great photos. Of course any photos that have you in them are automatically great.Love, TOMMY
Wendy-Ann
Hi Tommy, Jonathon Frid is 86 and not as strong as he used to be. So he just did 1 signing and that was for people who attended the banquet that evening. Mom wanted to go to Denny's instead. LOL
MikeC
I don't remember much of the show, as I was in school and sports. Isn't this the show that the newer shows say is the one that started all of the modern vampire shows on T.V?There was an interview on a radio show that I listen to at night. I'll see if I can find it. Great to see the photos. Like me, you've met a few celebrities, too.
