missm
Hmmm..let's see, Bessieboo. I am checking out this message board this summer. I just got back from FL two weeks ago, but plan on traveling to "the beach" here in my hometown. Plans with the kids..well, not really. Since the kids are adults, I plan on not giving them any money regardless of how many times they ask. No home renovations on the horizon. Will celebrate 25th wedding anniversary in September - in a quiet way.
Ecstasy
Annie's working up at camp in Wisconsin twice this year so we have to bring her up in June and again in August. We'll also be going out to Vegas in September for a couple of weeks and I want to work on the condo while there. The house is playing a big part this summer. We have a lot of landscaping to do on the front of the house and enlarge the patio. Indoors we want to put in a new main bathroom and still have to put in the bamboo flooring in the hallway upstairs. It's a lot of work but by the time the holidays come around the place should be looking pretty great!

rockynrobyn1977
We're staying home. We have a lot of things to do close by. Mass. is great if you're a history buff. The beaches are within 30 mins. as is Boston and Salem. We also have a Six Flags and Canobie Lake Park amusement parks. I like not having to drive so far just to do something fun. angelina
We're spending 5 days at the end of June in Little Rock, Arkansas for a big TKD competition. Then the end of July we'll be in Vegas (The Venetian) with the kids for a Grand Canyon vacation and some Sin City fun! (Vegas offered much better rates than Northern Arizona...plus it's Vegas!John

TOMMY TUNES
I am planning on vacationing in Florida with LADY TUNES and staying with Bessieboo.
phil
I just tore up a bathroom floor with 7 layers of alternating plywood, tile, vinyl, linoleum, etc. Also tore out the toilet, vanity, sink, counter and paneling. Now the fun part begins with putting it all back together with a ceramic tile floor, etc. Also dragging out the old popup camper and getting it back in shape to go to state parks within a 2 hour radius. I hope to do lots of hiking, fishing, sailing and reading books.

Ecstasy
Phil, we can compare nightmares as we go! ROFLOL Our floor won't be so bad (tear out vinyl tile, tear out old underlayment) putting in the new underlayment and porcelain tile --- it's the shower project that going to kill us!!! Already have the new sink and vanity, towel tower, vanity mirror (still need to order lighting, though) but getting the old cast iron tub and wall surround out and then having the new shower installed with porcelain tile above --- that'll be the killer! I'd say 80% of the project we're doing ourselves. As much work as it'll be, though, I'm really looking forward to the newer, more functional (and beautiful) bathroom! This has been a LOOOONG time in coming!!!

missm
Shelley - enjoy the Philippines and be sure to represent The Tunesetts very well!! See you in August. How about returning in September...then I could use a song title..."See You In September"This is the original and it has a kind of tropical feel, just like the Philippineshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRGLjzFHa40
darlene
Shelley, Enjoy the Philippines! Do you speak Tagalog? Some of my violin students do. Filipinos are very big-hearted and loving--and very musically talented. They have a natural feel for string instruments. I've never had a Filipino child who didn't have a beautiful, instinctive natural bow arm!Enjoy the spirit of "Bigay Todo" (to give all) because that's the way the Filipinos embrace others!Have a great trip!--Love, Darlene
darlene
Home renovations are what we'll be doing. As soon as I get out of school. No rest for the weary. Day trips to the shore will provide relaxation, as well as (some) relaxing nights. Some trips to PA to visit my girlfriend Millie are also on my agenda.A lot of violin practice, meditation to keep me sane and in lemonade and a new exercise program that I will (finally) put into practice. After all that, I'll probably be ready to escape back to school!--Darlene
