ericphan
Hey LC...nice job. I like looking at numbers like this. Though I didn't hand in my list, my top ten is pretty darn close to the top vote getters listed.

I Can Remember8. Ecstasy9. Waiting10. Cruisin' MusicAs great as all of this music is, Eric was able to eclipse his talent which made the Raspberries famous with just the first 2 albums of his solo career, and IMO "She Did It" was the crowning pinnacle of his success. 1977 was a real watershed year for music in general. darlene
Great job LC! It's interesting to see the way they came in. Everyone has a divergent opinion on most things, but there was way more agreement on the top 10 than I ever thought there would be. Great idea, great thread! Thanks! (And great meeting you in New York too!) --Darlene
LC
On 9/14/2007 at 12:01 AM, LC said: I know this has been done here before, but it's been a while, so it would be cool to see which 10 songs that others consider to be the Raspberries' very finest. Ten only, and only from the original four albums, and in your order of preference. Here's mine: 1. Go All the Way 2. I Wanna Be With You 3. Overnight Sensation 4. If You Change Your Mind 5. Let's Pretend 6. I Can Remember 7. Tonight 8. I Can Hardly Believe You're Mine 9. Should I Wait? 10. Waiting (Hardest to leave out: "Nobody Knows" and Wally's "Party's Over") I'm dusting off a 15-year-old post to revisit and rerank my Raspberries favorites. Time marches on, and tastes change. I think I was Inspired by the "On the Beach" bootleg Santa left here yesterday. I know I've heard it before — I think it's on a two-disc bootleg I have — but I haven't heard in years. 1. Overnight Sensation (Hit Record) 2. On the Beach 3. I Can Hardly Believe You're Mine 4. Go All the Way 5. I Can Remember 6 Cruisin' Music 7. Tonight 8. Waiting 9. Should I Wait? 10. Money Down On the outside looking in: 11. Ecstacy 12. Party's Over 13. It Seemed So Easy 14. If You Change Your Mind 15. Let's Pretend
James
Ok, I'm gonna go right from my gut as it sits here on this Monday night: 1. If you change your mind 2. On the Beach - LC kinda gave me a jolt with his comments to see the light on this one, at least for tonight. 3. Overnight Sensation 4. I can remember 5. Waiting 6. Cruisin Music 7. I'm a Rocker ( live only ) 8. Party's Over 9. Starting Over 10. Don't Wanna Say Goodbye Notes: Let's Pretend, Makin it Easy, Should I wait....all 3 would have made my list if I hadn't overplayed them over the years and caused them to lose too much of their salt. Not sure how I can leave off "Ecstacy", but I did...at least for tonight.
LC
I'm with you on the "at least for tonight" disclaimer, James. Like, "Starting Over" needs to worm its way onto my list.... I'm also in agreement with you on "I'm a Rocker" live vs. the studio version. The band upped the ante at its reunion shows. Great one. (Is that BeatleJay dancing on the tables...?) "On the Beach" — man, that one's high in intensity. Very explosive song. Forgot how much I dig it.
