luvthemraspberries
Not sure if anyone else posted this, but they showed Eric, Dave, and Billy on our local news at 11 P.M. tonight, rehearsing for their show!!! TOO COOL!!! Edit: Whoops, just now saw someone already beat me to the punch (and posted the same thing!), lol! I'm just too excited tonight, what can I say?! LOL! LC
I stepped away a bit, but that was AWESOME! I wasn't even there, but I could picture so much of it. Go, 'berries!"Tonight" is slightly better than "Ecstacy," by a hair, but it sounds like everything worked!
LC
Marvin, thank you for the updates. It was kind of exciting, no?
LC
John Soeder at Cleveland.com updated a report on the Rock Hall festivities with this 'graph (I'm sure we'll read more shortly):The party's musical entertainment included a set by Cleveland's power-pop Raspberries, who got down to business with a rousing "Tonight." It was truly exciting and emotional, a thrill to hear the band, and to get a sense of the reception that they were receiving. Can't wait to read Eric's, Bernie's and Gene's reports. LC
Maybe Will Lee will pull strings and get a Raspberries spot a long-overdue spot on Letterman? (After, of course, that new studio album comes out....)
blackhawkpat
Didn't he say "All By Myself" was in there, too?
blackhawkpat
I'm going to guess that "Play On" was the second song. Wasn't it mentioned in this thread as seen on a songlist and they have always done it fairly early in the setlist?
Jay52
Can you imagine what it would be like...Letterman sits at his desk, holds a Berries disc and introduces them...Paul and the rest of his band (including all of us) would simply, go nuts. Then the guys begin to play and destroy the place! seattlesteve
Got up 5:30 Seattle time, hungry for some news. Great set list. Eric spent a lot more time with a guitar strap than piano bench. Rock and roll, wall to wall, love it.. great report Marvin, dying for some inside perspective.
seattlesteve
Like the 2 Who covers, though I always thought the Raspberries harmonies were custom made for "The Kids Are Alright".
Tim From Wisconsin
I had the good fortune, along with some lucky timing to see the entire sound check / rehearsal during the day on Friday! I went to the Hall of Fame to get my ticket for Saturday night's simulcast party at will call, and they were just finishing setting up the stage in the lobby. Since I had no definitive plans, I had no problem hanging around for a couple of hours to witness the band on stage again. They all looked and sounded fantastic! I've learned over the years to carry things with me when I travel. So, I had a group of Raspberries items with me that I was planning on having them sign today, along with my digital camera. I got a couple of pictures of Reverend Run from Run DMC - He was in the HOF gift shop, and of course I got LOTS of pictures of the Raspberries!! I hope to get some more good pictures at the Hard Rock Cafe today, and I will share them soon. Just from what I witnessed at the rehearsal, there is still that amazing energy that flows off of the stage when these guys are together - Just fricken' incredible and moving! Raspbernie
My throat is sore, my feet are tired and my hands are worn out from clapping. All I have the energy for right now is a short and sweet review. The show was, in a word, AWESOME! More later! Promise...

Steve you need to hear it from Bernie, Ernie, Gene, Eric - the people that were there. While I heard the band, I didn't have the benefit of seeing them. Listening-in was amazing, but in this case, seeing is believing
