Kirk
Is it cheating if you look at the set list on the wall in the rehearsal pictures? Since the pics are posted on both Raspberries Myspace and Jim's Myspace, I guess it's ok to list it here. What I can definitely make out: Tonight Play On What I can figure out: It's Cold Outside I Wanna Be With You Let's Pretend Cruisin' Music Party' Over What Eric told us already: Overnight Sensation I'm A Rocker You know Go All The Way is on there somewhere (probably closing the set, but it's out of view in the picture). Anybody else drooling?
darlene
Thanks so much for the update, Eric. Congratulations on this fantastic gig! Have fun rockin' the place off its foundation! Glad it's coming together so well. Please congratulate Wally for me on quitting smoking and getting his voice in such great shape. I know your show will be amazing. My thoughts will be with you all! --Darlene
Roadie #3
Set list changed since the picture was taken. I am waiting for the band to run through the set and say it is a go before I crank up the old portable printer and then print set lists for the show. I think in the past I have cut down 2 or 3 trees by printing the set lists before they were set in stone. No time on Friday to do it at the show. seattlesteve
Regarding the setlist, for us speculators, how much time are they anticipated to have?Looking to be a flat out rock and roll show.If Wally's voice is even better, I expect some spine tingling Beatle harmonies in the inevitable second encore jam/medley
Leff'tHome
Jim said on the radio this morning, about an hour. Then they may jam with some other performers. He said they were scheduled to start at about 9.
MJ
I missed the radio show now that we are not allowed on the internet anymore at work
mymooladi
This is so exciting. I wish I could be the barbie doll they put on the stage on their tour so I could be in the stage when they blow every one away!! These big shots will not know what hit them! I am so excited for you guys and I just hope you have a ton of fun. Enjoy every second, and hopefully some one is taping it for us little people. My love to you all, Good Luck. Eric Carmen
Well, We wrapped the last rehearsal a few hours ago. Everything sounded good to my ears, now it's just trying to tame that steel and glass beast known as the Rock Hall.It looks like Will Lee will be dropping by to join us on some Beatle songs for the encore. For those of you who don't know Will, he's the bass player in David Letterman's band ( the blond guy with the sunglasses). He's also in The Fab Faux, a great band that does letter perfect renditions of Beatles songs that the Beatles never got a chance to play live like "I Am The Walrus" and "A Day In The Life."Since we're all big Beatle fans, it should be a lot of fun. He volunteered to play tambourine if we want him to. Great talent. Nice guy. We'll see who else is there on Friday. We've really got the night all to ourselves. Anything could happen! The party starts at 7:00, we go on at 9:30. We'll probably play until close to eleven. Then there's an after party with a dj.Basically, we thought this was a perfect opportunity to showcase the band to all the people responsible for nominating the acts that get inducted. It may not yield anything at all, but it certainly couldn't hurt to have the whole nominating committee blown away. That's our goal. It's really pretty remarkable when you think about it. Here's a band that broke up in 1974, after making four albums in two years. They got back together after not playing together for 31 years, played some killer shows in New York, Chicago, Cleveland and L.A. Recorded their first ever live CD, and are now the headlining band at the private VIP party, set to perform in front of their heroes and the influential decision makers who decide who gets in and who doesn't.All this coming on the 35th anniversary of their original breakup. How many bands can say that their legacy survived 35 years after their last album and tour?

LC
Well said.... This is a big deal and momentous occasion. It's hard not to be excited (and proud) for you and the boys. I just know those classic songs will hit the audience hard; the folks in the seats will know a lot of 'em and they'll get totally sucked in by those they weren't familiar with. It's especially great to know that Wally's guitar playing will get some exposure to influential folks -- he's always been so underrated, and deserves to be more widely known. Ditto for Jim as a powerhouse drummer. And I'm hoping you guys play "Should I Wait" -- it's got such a great hook and shows that Dave is a damn good songwriter, too. Most of all, the crowd will get a dose of some of the best power-pop songs ever written. That awesome 'berries catalog no doubt will turn heads, from "Go All the Way" and "I Wanna Be With You" to "Tonight" and "Ecstacy" to "Play On" and "Overnight Sensation" -- any or all of 'em. So... knock 'em dead! You belong in the Hall!(Damn, it would be nice to be there....)
Kirk
I hope you can feel the collective energy of the fans! This will be a great moment for Raspberries!! Can't wait for the reviews
missy
Congratulations to you Eric and Wally, Jim and Dave as well. You deserve all the good things that will come of this. Have a blast, really enjoy youself and Knock 'em dead! I wish I could be there.

hollies65
Time for the Raspberries to kick some rock and roll ass tonight!
James
Couple points Eric:1. The band should not play at the high level it played at in Chicago in 2005. If it is THAT good, the Rock Hall brass will be shamed for not getting you guys in so far, will realize their great sin, and will have to go to confession to erase this great sin.. 2. I loved your post, but in a way it was backwards. The truth is, the Raspberries show is more an opportunity for THOSE IN THE AUDIENCE to see greatness, have a great experience and get something out of the night... than vice-a-versa.3. We're all with you guys in spirit..4. Kick some ass!-James

seattlesteve
I know you have to hit all the singles as even the HOF committee is going to have a bunch of "oh yeah" moments (be looking in the audience on your intros and watch them nudge each other and whisper "that was them?)If you did one non original single that shows off the band and your voice, I hope If You Change Your Mind is rehearsed. Can't wait for the feedback on the extended I'm a Rocker. Are you sticking with IWTBWY as the opening grabber. Tonight would be a good choice too.. (Lights down 1,2,3, 4!!!!!!!! lights)Seriously, any chance other Raspberries fans rockers who might find themselves in town for the ceremonies be at the show, and is there a threat to jump on stage for the Beatles jam? Bruce, Jon, Paul Stanley? Make sure your stage manager has extra plug ins in case.Wish someone would just set up their laptop camera and leave it streaming on backstage "accidently" and slip us the dial in.Glad your officially no longer one of Steves secrets. Finally others will understand why your on my rock and roll Mt Rushmore.Rock on man, the stars are aligned my friend..
Jay52
This is going to be the night of The Raspberries. raspberrywine
Rock their butts off. If you play anywhere near the level of the New York and L.A. gigs theyll be blown away. Sure hope theres another show for fans in bullpen.
