HT from Mo
Has anyone here seen the movie "Fireproof" with Kirk Cameron? I just watched it this weekend at my sister-in-law's and it's fantastic! I don't think it was in the theatres but it's on DVD.
Julie
They showed it at our church and I bought it and gave it to one of step-daughters. I really loved it. It was made by a church and they also did "Facing the Giants" and "FlyWheel" (I think those are the names, it's late and I'm sleepy!)Awesome, good clean movie! It was very inspiring. And, there really is a "Love Dare" book--got that for my step-daughter too to try! It was in theaters as a limited release. I don't think they had a lot of money to have a big release and the secular world isn't always very receptive to good, clean, wholesome movies with morals, values and depicting the Christian faith. Glad you enjoyed it! I loved that it was the kind of movie to make you laugh, cry, love and feel the pain of a relationship heading down the wrong path. (I just loved the older couple next door!!!) blackhawkpat
Julie, you are correct in the titles, and the Griffin household owns all three of the movies, all made by the same company/church affiliate. Great pictures and Kirk Cameron is outstanding in the lead role. It is unfortunate that they don;t let these type of movies play everywhere. We have had to drive over thirty miles to see them when they came out in the theaters. BTW, how hard was your heart pumping during the train scene? Julie
Oh yeah! That train scene really got the adrenaline going!!! It is very sad that more people weren't exposed to this movie and others like it. I do know that a lot of churches in our area are showing it. So glad I got to see it with other believers/followers.Kirk was really good and it is so refreshing to see an actor with his head on straight and having strong values. You're probably aware of the pact he has with his wife in regards to not kissing anyone else--even in a movie. If not, in a nutshell, in the kissing scene in the movie, he is actually kissing his real wife. Very cool and very inspiring that they have such strong convictions! Go Kirk!Blessings,Julie
HT from Mo
I got the "Love Dare" book to use. That train scene was made my heart skip a beat! This movie really struck a nerve with me and I heard some of the same things in the movie that I've heard in my own marriage.
Kirk
I heard an interview on the making of the movie with Kirk some of the cast and crew. There was a lot of divine intervention involved!
