Hey Muzza, great job with the continued loss! AND in spite of Easter eggs! You must be doing something right, my friend. crying I'm trying not to get discouraged and am just hoping that the loss will resume when my body stabilizes again. confused In the meantime, I'm eating well, getting plenty of rest, and even doing some relaxation stuff like a killer pedicure just to feel better!

Kathy Lee, Thanks for the info on heart rate monitors. I agree that basic is the way to go. Who needs the frustration of too many bells and whistles. And, I think I'll book a pedicure for myself. What a great idea! king

Julie, What do you think of the ab belt? It sort of looks like it may rub against your arms for some of the moves? I also read reviews where they fell apart. I've just been using free weights for those portions of the workout, but am curious if the ab belt would be a good investment.

Good going everyone !

I had a WONDERFUL trainer who really taught me how to use the monitor. Once you get used to reading your rate and knowing where you fall you can tell how to adjust your workout. I have instructions on how to figure out what your heart rate zones are (if you're interested) to get the most efficient workout. This way you will learn to say, "Wow, I really need to intensify and get my heart rate up" or "Uh-oh, I'm working too hard and need to scale back a bit." She even taught me how to read your rate first thing in the morning. This will tell you if you're sick or exhausted and should decrease (or hold off) your workout today so as not to set yourself back. Fascinating stuff if you really want to get into learning to read your body's signs!

Hi guys,

I'm getting ready to go to my Weight Watchers meeting. Wish me skinny vibes! Don't think I lost very much at all, but hopefully a little bit.

I kind of need your prayers for myself right now. Had something show up on my mammogram and I'm pretty stressed about it right now. They "think" it's probably benign and say I should wait 6 months for another test to see where it's at. That sounds like hogwash to me. I can't hang on to this for 6 months and then find out. I want to know now. Grrrr.... anyway, I'm just in need of prayers of support. No family history of this and I really am not real up on health stuff--especially my own.

Thanks guys,

Blessings,

Julie

I'm on it, Julie --- prayers on their way immediately! I'm like you. I'd be pushing for answers now, not waiting for more time to pass. Honestly, I'm here whenever you need me. Even if it's just to scream at someone about stupid doctors, tests, or insurance.<smile>

Julie,

I'm suprised they don't want to do a biopsy now. My first mammogram when I was 35 was suspicious and they basically said it was my decision. That same night the doctor called me at home and said if I was his wife he would definitely do the biopsy. It

turned out to be a fibroid adenoma, Thank God.

My feeling was, whatever it is, I want it out. A second opinion never hurts. Whichever route you choose know that you are in our prayers. pray

Thanks so much for the loving, prayerful support! It means so much!

I got the name of another Dr. yesterday and called the office to make the appointment. Unfortunately, the lady I needed to speak with is out of town until Monday. You know, the thing that upsets me the most is that the technician that called me acted like I already knew it because it has been on my last 2 mammograms, plus this one! It has apparently changed a bit and is "very small" and they think I should just wait 6 months and see if it changes! Good Grief!

Well, I'm with you guys, I don't want to wait. I want something done now so I can have either peace of mind or get working on a solution.

So, I just have to wait until Monday, and then wait until I can get an appointment. This is a lesson in patience I guess. Sigh.

Thank you all!

Blessings,

Julie

Oh--Kiwi--I didn't even notice that you spelled my name wrong! Lol! Not a problem! You had all of the right letters--just not in the right order! I've been a total "space case" the last couple of days!

Congrats Julie. Good job. Any comments on the Leslie Sansone ab belt?

Kathy Lee, I've ordered a heart rate monitor and should receive it next week. I'll let you know if I need help figuring it out. Thanks.

I'm excited that our weather is starting to get nice. It's very motivating. I've been doing DVD's nearly every day and I'm ready to hit the pavement now and soak up some sunshine. smile

Thanks everyone!

julesberry--I have the ab belt and do feel I get a good workout when I use it. It is a bit annoying though. No matter how tight I put it on, it rides up. Could be my shape though, because when I watch the folks on the video, they don't look like it's bugging them! I like the stretchie band the best though.

oh--I got Leslie's "Walk Slim" series in the mail yesterday! It is really good--well the 1 mile I did was anyway! I was really pooped! She does some jogging intervals on there. You can just walk though.

Nice here today too once the morning showers clear out. Should be soon.

Blessings,

Julie

Oh, update on my situation. I called the clinic here yesterday and spoke with a nurse. I told her I wanted another opinion and wanted something done now as I couldn't stand waiting. She said that is what she would do too. She sent a referral to a breast clinic in Mason City for me. They are supposed to call me today and get me scheduled for an appointment.

I feel a lot better now that I've taken a step.

Thanks all for the support! It sure does help!

Julie
