Wow! I don't think our McDonald's here in Emmetsburg has waffle cones! Yummy! Good thing! That drive-thru window is on my way home!

I'm doing good today. Gained 2 pounds at my weigh-in yesterday. Kind of a kick in the pants and reality check though. I usually don't get serious until after my birthday since it's close to the holidays.

Good luck to the rest of you!

Congratulations, Julesberry, you're doing great!!! So many people never make it to this point yet here you are! pray In the meantime, I'm doing very well with my meals (Asian Chicken Salad, fruit plates, lean meats, and I'm doing well with the water increase.) My energy level isn't where it needs to be yet so I can't do too much in the line of exercise without becoming exhausted but maybe soon (fingers crossed.) I want to get strong enough to get back to my water aerobics and deep-water running!!! baby

Hi Everyone....well a little disappointed. I only lost about 750grams this weeks in spite of all the exercise. I'm blaming Kiwi for forcing me to eat a Waffle cone.. laugh Still it could have been worse... I could have put weight on.

Kathy Lee..... I guess I'll know when the weight loss is showing visibly when the ladies start swimming after me. The only lady that swims after me at the moment is Kiwi and that's usually to get pay back 'cause she got splashed.. :P:rolleyes: Mind you, I'm happy to slow down and let her catch me.. LuvLove

At least the Ice Cream and Iced coffee's aren't affecting my Blood Pressure - negatively. I have just had a Blood Pressure test today and it is where it should be... 110/70. happy

I can say I am a very happy chappy and thankful to all the support of the EC.com family and especially Kiwi who has encouraged and cajoled me at the same time. LuvLove

Unfortunately no changes with the weight yet but I have added a couple of changes to my diet. I've added 2 tbsp. ground flaxseed to my breakfast and 1 tbsp of bentonite (liquid clay) 2x/daily to speed detoxification (might try the powdered version in a bath or just plain epsom salt.) We'll see if it makes any difference over the next couple of weeks.

Nice job, Julesberry --- keep hanging in there!

Muzza, great job, my friend!

Gord - I have a question for you. You said a while back on an older thread that you have celiac disease, which if I understand correctly, is a life-threatening intolerance for gluten. So, you obviously can't have foods containing wheat. I am allergic to wheat, but small amounts on occasion aren't going to kill me. If I indulge, I just have to be ready to suffer the consequences. I'm curious about what kind of preparations you use in your diet and what substitutions you can use when a recipe calls for flour. Thanks.

Hey, Julesberry, I'd LOVE that! Pass it along, please! How does it work, what is it best for?

I don't know what I'm trying to rid myself of --- I think prescription abuse from my doctors. (My naturopath was horrified when he found out everything they had me on <yes, each of them knew> and his first order of business was to get me off of as much as possible as quickly as possible. I'm doing a WHOLE lot better in that respect!)

"Mustard is an age-old remedy that is renowned for its stimulating, cleansing and rejuvenating properties. The perfect supplement to any purification or tissue cleansing program, this bath powder assists in opening the pores of your skin to help sweat out impurities and toxins."

2 Cups Dead Sea Salts (I use regular sea salt)

1 Cup Powdered Milk

1/2 Cup Powdered Mustard Seed

1/4 Cup Ginger (Fresh grated or Powdered o.k.)

4 drops eucalyptus essential oil

2 drops lemon essential oil

2 drops rosemary essential oil

I usually bump up the amount of essential oils for the added aromatherapy.

Kathy Lee, the perfect bath when it's 9 below zero! And don't forget to add the bubble bath. Enjoy. smile
