Yep, a bubble bath can really ease whatever ails a body!

Don't worry about staying the same. It's always better than a gain!

I need to really get serious about this or I won't be able to wear my cute shorts this summer!

Blessings,

Julie

Staying the same isn't necessarily a bad thing. It means you body has made the adjustment and is able to maintain the loss. That's great!!! You're adding extra work and keeping yourself moving which is the hardest part so give yourself a pat on the back for sticking with it! king

The leg lifts I've been doing are working on my abs more than they are my legs. I started at 20 each leg and am now up to 40. My abs really feel it so I think I'm ready to get back into the water and start doing some ab crunches and resistance work! laugh

Bubblebaths have been one of my favorite things since I was 5 years old! They're the reward I give myself for sticking to my "sensible" eating plan all week.

The "non-diet" diet we practice is cutting all portion sizes, exercising 3 times a week and walking and forsaking "forbidden goodies" on weekdays. On the weekend, we allow a "forbidden goodie" or two in smaller portions than we used to eat and our bodies are fooled into thinking we're not on a diet. On the weekend I have that bubblebath--candles, peace and quiet, the right music (EC, Raspberries, Oscar Levant or some other delicious classical music, etc) and just enjoy!

So far it's working. Progress is probably slower than Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers and I don't drop as many pounds, but I do lose inches, which is what I'm interested in. I also feel much better physically and mentally.

Way to go, Darlene!!! It sounds like you know exactly what your body needs and how it will respond. Your plan is safe and based on common sense. crazy Since then Diane has taught me a LOT about learning to listen to my body and trust my instincts. I'm still recovering slowly but I'm doing things with a lot more safety and stability this time and my body seems to like me a whole lot more! smile

I don't want to jinx how well things are going, but I'd like to think we are out of the woods. I am feeling good and surely have more energy, that's for sure. It was also nice to set a good example for my boyfriends nephews who came over for a long Holiday visit this past weekend.

We were lucky to have great weather too, so we walked almost everywhere we went for some extra added exercise ! cool

Thanks for asking. happy

What's new south of the border ??

Kathy Lee.. I do feel good and think I'm in a better frame of mind. We have now got to the point where we are almost between seasons so will have to buy veges for a while.

Julesberry, you are doing so well. Keep it up and well done.

Muzza cool

Oh, Kiwi, feel better soon! I know my son-in-law has been having a lot of trouble with his shoulder and has been telling us how painful it is. I guess it's one of those spots that you take for granted not realizing how much you move it throughout an average day. I hope you're on the mend soon!
