Well, I got fired this morning. That really sucks. I haven't had the best of days lately. My darling husband died 3 months ago, my sweet brother-in-law died 7 weeks ago, his wife, my close confidant in grief has gone to India until the end of August and now this.

I am a very positive person in general. Losing my husband has had such a terrible impact on me. My boss totally does not "get" the whole grieving process.

Anyway, could sure use some positive vibes, prayers, etc....

Not wanting to move away--I am at "home" here now and settled and not ready for that kind of a change too.

Anyone want to go and egg the boss's house tonight?? Lol!

Blessings,

Julie

Chin up Julie - I'm sure there will be a rainbow soon to cheer you up - perhaps there will be a better job on the horizon that you will enjoy more - something new and different - to give you a new direction.... I will keep you in my thoughts!

I am in for the egging, let's add some toilet paper and maybe a bag of flaming Poo on his/her door step.

Anyone who can be that insensitive deserves the full treatment. angryangry

Julie, I am praying for you

You are not alone "Where two or three have come together in my name,

I am there among them". Matt 18:20

Julie, one of my regrets on here truly is that just as you lost your husband, I fell ill and I REALLY wanted to be able to send you something to lift your spirits(directly to you real world) and I missed doing that for you. I don't even know you but you don't have to know someone to understand as one human being to another that they are suffering. Julie, my prayers WILL now be there for you and not only that BUT I am going to 'borrow' a 'bulldozer' and anyone from this board who wants to hop on and join me we are going to pay that Mr. 9-5 jerk boss a lil sur-prise sur-prise visit to his house!! wink I was once told this, maybe you might find it useful...put all your troubles into a box and give them to lord as you have handled them for long enough and HE is more than willing to handle them right now for you until you feel you are feeling up to opening the box again! Wish I could come over and just do what you needed done..be it a lil extra help with housework, supper ready or pouring you a cup of tea and lending an ear. Take care of you Julie because people on here really care about YOU!!

Bulldozers are expensive...eggs arent cheap either.I can send a couple of "the boys" out to "make him an offer he can't refuse"...

Seriously keep your chin up, aim, focus, and move forward.I realize how bad the past months have been...keep a positive attitude...We're all here for you!

I'm sorry for all you've gone through, Julie. It's terrible when one has a boss that doesn't get it. I know all about that one.

Definitely don't change your living arrangements.

Stay "home," because that's another major change that can cause great stress, and you've had more than enough of that.

Just know that your sweet husband would want more than anything for you to take care of yourself and be well. You are very precious to him and he's your most beloved guardian angel, so take heart. Another, BETTER job, with a better boss, will be right around the corner.

You're in my prayers and I love you!

smile --Love, Darlene

Julie,

Positive thoughts your way.... and a great big BOOOO to your ex-boss. In business, you know, you've gotta have a heart, and he apparently doesn't. After all you've been through, he should have gone the extra yard for you. I would say, good riddance. You don't want to work for someone like that anyway, right?

Hang tough and spoil yourself a little and take your time. Like Darlene said, a better deal is right around the corner.

Best,

LC

Julie-Thinking and praying for you. Sometimes when things happen, it's easy to get depressed and down on things. Please don't lose your humor or your faith. There can be doors opening you don't even realize. I don't know where you live in Iowa, but if you need a shoulder to cry on, just send me a PM. I might be able to sneak over to Iowa some weekend. Take care of yourself!

Oh my! I am just so touched by all the lovin' I'm feeling on this board! You are all such a blessing--so glad to be here.

I love how you all are assuming my boss is a "he". It's a "SHE"--and, she just gave me the biggest raise they give a few weeks ago. I really don't want to go into a lot of detail about her work ethics (basically, she ain't got none) and I'm thinking that someone along the line she must have really been damaged to treat others this badly. Believe it or not, my last words to her were, "I'm praying for you and Jesus loves you!"

Anyway, I know there has to be something better for me down the road. It doesn't seem like things could get too much worse!

Just wish my husband was here to wrap his arms around me and tell me how much he loves and supports me. But, he's my angel now.

Thank you all again. I am just so very touched.

Blessings,

Julie

Oh, man, that is ironic that our instant impression of "the boss" was this heartless guy... when it was actually a heartless woman! Females do come that way too, you know --- we can't always assume it's just us fellas.... (I originally had "he or she" when referring to your boss, but edited out the "she" because, well, I got on the bandwagon from earlier posts!)

Anyway, hang tough, and keep your faith.

Best,

Larry

Oh, Julie, I think you've got your boss figured out and no matter what her reasons, it was a fairly heartless decision.

I am in for the bulldozer and the eggs and bessie, i'll bring some "contents" for the flaming bag!!! My dog will be happy to donate!

We can ALSO "penny" her in - wedge pennies in her front door jam (can't undo the lock) and then we'll blow baby powder under the door with a leaf blower!!! Try dusting after that!! (an old college prank)

This place does have a *unique* way of cheering people up! eek Eric, where's your evil twin when we need him?!! laugh I remember your suggestions for Bessieboo's driveway when her neighbor was acting up. Got any interesting suggestions to add? The lady could use some inspiration. :p

What comes around goes around, and whatever she's meting out will come back to hurt her. I wish no harm on anyone, but it does seem to have a way of coming back.

Hang in there, fight for your rights, and it'll turn out all right in the end.

And "All Through The Night", it just might bug her to some extent if she has any conscience.

And as for Eric's evil twin, he's delivering moldy pizza to my city.

Julie,

I was just thinking of you and was wondering how you were doing and then I saw this post!

Oh my!

All I can say is things do happen for a reason.

You obviously deserve a better boss and job!

Now, you will get it!

When one door closes, another opens.

Hang in there...we are all thinking of you and

wishing you the best.

Anna

A new window or door will surely open soon for you Julie. Take advantage of the time to organize your thoughts and think about what type of job you're passionate about - and then pursue it full out. I'm sure you could network with all of us, and we'd be glad to offer any ideas, leads, suggestions.....and of course, there's always plenty of love to pass around.
