WANNAMAN
Anyone going to see what is said to be the final episode. It looks pretty cool by the previews. There was constant in my life in the 1970's... listening to Raspberries and Eric Carmen and playing with my Star Wars figures.
aggiesjc
I'm definitely going to see it. I was 11 when the original (Episode IV) came out, and have been a big fan ever since.
Kirk
I'll go see it after the lines shrink a little. Nothing like my experience for the first one. That was back in the day when you would wait 2 hours in one around-the-block line- just to get a ticket, then proceed to wait in another two hour, around-the-block line to get into the movie. My date (future wife) and I had just finished a nice dinner in Westwood and were trying to find the ever lengthening end of the ticket line, when a bagger from my store walks by us and says a friend of his is an usher and can get us in for the next show- free! After following him to the back side of the theater and waiting to see if the secret knock would be answered, we got in to see the first Star Wars with no problem Ahhh, those were the days...Kirk. Matthew C. Clark
There is also an independent movie (in big selected cities) coming out called "5-25-77" (which was the date for the original "Star Wars") which stars John Francis Daley (from the NBC TV show "Freaks And Geeks" 1999-2000, out on DVD). Go to: www.5-25-77.com/teaser.html for the trailer. The website is: www.5-25-77.com for cast & information on the film. Matt

That show featured The Jefferson Starship (without Grace Slick) who did the song "Light The Sky On Fire" which went to # 66 (Hot 100) back in December of 1978. Fnas of that special want it on DVD this coming Christmas but read the article first. Matt
WANNAMAN
Matt thanks for the link... I have heard of the Star Wars Special but somehow missed it. Is it worse than Carrie Fisher doing the beach party on SNL? Aggie were the same age... yes I was still playing with my toys at 11... and still have them.I will try to see the movie this sunday during matinee hours. Roger Ebert gave the movie 3 1/2 stars... not bad considering he didnt like episode 2.
