Tony Cartmill
I was so frustrated when I first saw "The Natural" with Robert Redford because the baseball scenes were amaturish and I was so pissed that they intentually left out what happened to his character for 15 years before his comeback. Now, I like the movie and forgive Barry Levinson for leaving me in the dark...I think I fell asleep when I tried to watch "Local Hero" 20 years ago. Maybe I should give it another try?
Tony Cartmill
Overrated? How about EVERY HARRY POTTER MOVIE!?!I still don't get what people see in these J.K. Rowling drug-induced dark wandering stories...Every time my wife drags me to see one, I end up calling my drug dealer and asking, "Dude, what did you lace my last bag of weed with?"... Guest
Well, Potter movies are aimed at the kiddies,so what were you two doing there? Please answer that nicely or I'll have to choke you.
Guest
P.S.: Contrary to what you may be thinking, I am NOT Eric in disguise! My babies will all attest to that.
Bessieboo
A History Of Violence - my husband chose this one, Hated it. Pay back was hell for him, I made him go to Pride and Prejudice with me. I could have gone with the girls, but.... he chooses more carefully now.

Captain Harlock
I'm not a fan of Quentin Terentino. He's essentially made the same movie six times. I liken it as if the Beatles put Drive My Car on every album.

I ussually rate my favorite movies as movies that I enjoy repeat views of... not really interested in watching those again.

TOMMY TUNES
I can't remember the last time I didn't channel surf and comee across one of the Godfather movies and not leave it on for at least a little while if not until the end, especially the original. Everything you need to know about life you can learn watching "The Godfather"
TOMMY TUNES
The most overrated comedy - "Caddyshack"My favorite comedies are "Clerks" and "Dogma"

Tony Cartmill
I know it's not a movie, but Seinfeld, the series, talk about overrated.A bunch of "hit and miss" mildly funny disjointed scenes about 4 irritating New Yorkers does not make a "Classic" comedy series. boopell
It's not a movie either but what about "Desperate Housewives"? It didn't live up to the hype. I couldn't even make it through one season.
hollies65
'Crash'. Overrated.
Tony Cartmill
I love movies like "Crash". What was overrated about it? I thought it was better than "Brokeback Mountain", which it beat out for Oscar in a weak year for movies...2005
susana
TitanicAmerican BeautyBoth so formulaic that I knew everything that was going to happen before it did. (In the case of Titanic, yes, we all knew the boat was going down...it became more of how and when they were going to push a button...)And then we have Legends of the Fall: so laughable it was in a class all its own. The night we went, the Brad Pitt fan club apparently was on a field trip. The audience broke out in wild applause when he appeared on screen. Audible sobs when Isabelle died. At least that gave us a chance to let out all the suppressed laughter that had been building throughout the movie. (Who could forget their version of Hop Sing?) And then the scene where daddy dearest saves the prodigal son - ROTFLMAO!!! We purposely went to a bookstore after the movie just to find other books by the author to point at and make fun of.Yes, I can be cruel when I don't like something. But let me tell you how I really feel....<eg>S*

Guest Fresh
My wife and I rented "No Country For Old Men" last night. We both didn't like it.I can't believe it won Best Picture. It was totally pointless, gratuitous bloodshed with a very unsatisfying ending."3:10 to Yuma" was a far better movie, with real acting by Russel Crowe and Christian Bale.
