raspberrywolf
I guess since I started this thread I should at least throw my song(s) IMHO.Greatest love song ever written of all time:I don't know how many of you will even know this one because it is a Russian Jewish Folk Song...it is titled : "Tumbalalaika"=toom-bal-a-like-aand here are some of the words depending on where you get your translation from- "Tell me girl, tell me true...what can grow without the dew? What can burn for years and years? What can cry but shed no tears?Foolish young lad the answers are true-A stone can grow without the dew.Love can burn for years and years,A heart can cry but shed no tears!" It is hautingly melodic.here is a sampling at youtube w/Pete Seeger- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTnhxBENUAY More in terms of recent history is our own Eric's " I Was Born To Love You" to me pretty much somes up anyone who feels they finally found and fell in love with their soulmate! Amen, Vera! Who could ask for a more romantic song? Just picture it being played at a Wedding! "I Was Born To Love You" conveys the ultimate emotions of that "once in a lifetime love"...the type of love that reveals a whole new purpose to one's existence. To me, "I Was Born To Love You" speaks of a love so rare and true... a love that must be cherished and preserved for all-time...for it may never come again. I've loved the song from the first time I heard it.

boopell
Hanging by a Moment--LifehouseWherever You Will Go--The CallingMy son was married a couple of years ago. My daughter-in-law had chosen a country song(don't remember what and had never heard it before) to be played as they stood and faced each other. All I could think the whole time was what a perfect time for "Hanging by a Moment".
