From the (Saturday) Midland Daily News (Midland, Michigan): Ted D. Hall, 54, long-time Midland area resident, well-known quarter-horse trainer and 4H leader, died Thursday morning, July 20, 2006, at his home, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 19, 1952, in Midland, son of Floyd V. and the late Helen (Dudd) Hall. He attended Midland schools, graduating from Midland High School in 1970 and Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI. He received his masters degree from Central Michigan University in Administration of Parks & Recreation. Ted married the former Diane Hogue on May 31, 1980, at St. Francis Church in Lewiston. He had worked at Lowe's in Midland, MI for 9 years, at the Midland Community Center, where he was Program Director for 20 years, and for a very short time at Mission Paint. Ted lived for his children and his horses. At fair time, he took many first place ribbons in the horse arena. He was a member of the Midland County Fair Board, the Mid-Michigan Open Horse Show Circuit, was a long-time Midland County 4H Leader, and a member of the AQHA and IBHA. He is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Nicolas Robert and fiancee Rachel Raab, Andrew James and Daniel John; and his father and step-mother, Floyd V. and Norma (Clark) Hall. (who is my mother & father). Matt
